I do appreciate the irony that of the three choices, the most ethical course of action is essentially what you fought to prevent The Inclusive Man from doing.

I’m not sure GDPR could do a damn thing to stop a meme from spreading. GDPR has more to do with ensuring *private* information can be scrubbed from sites. It may fall under the umbrella of “right to be forgotten,” but it’s nowhere near relevant to this conversation.

The “right to be forgotten” is an impossible pipe dream. There’s no possible way to make that remotely scalable, and there are legitimate problems with mass takedowns of others’ content simply because one doesn’t like how that content mentions or portrays you.

I mean, it’s really easy to root for those who are screwing over the hyper-wealthy Wallstreet set, but this entire debacle shows why we need stricter regulation of trading. The absurd shorting practices as well as the artificial boosting of the stock price are both lousy.

Sometimes a photographer is the primary businessperson. Sometimes they are a contractor hired by the model/cosplayer. Sometimes they’re just a talented amateur or friend. It all depends.

I would like to see the end of shorting as a practice.

Weirdly enough, the Space Force will have a real job: monitoring and protecting satellite security. It’s something that was already being done in some fashion by existing branches of the military, and the optics of the “Space Force” branding are really silly, but it is an actually legitimate defense task.

They frequently are done by the same person as whoever is doing the book. Guest artists are often brought in to do *alternate* covers for the limited variations of individual issues.
