What the fuck is this shit? I thought Texas was all about free market and getting the government out of business. Now they’re sitting here telling me there are rules and the free market won’t fix every problem and regulations exist for the good of consumers?

I used to golf * with a dealer that traveled the country buying weird cars.

I was told 20+ years ago to avoid getting used cars from Texas because they were lax in reporting major problems with them.

You mean one of the two main gaming platform alongside smartphones?

Been playing the Early Access for a while, and I gotta say, ‘Supremely Chill’ doesn’t even begin to describe it. It’s extraordinarily mellow. A nice and relaxing departure from reality. JUST enough strategy to keep your brain occupied, without having to stress about anything. Deep breath. Relax. Place some tiles.

As a long term Borderlands player, the biggest issue I have with this DLC is that this type of content was FREE in BL3.  The seasonal events had MORE content and more good gear than this did.  I think I did my first run in about 10 minutes.  It reuses environments and enemies and provides a boss fight that isn’t (yet)

Do you genuinely think that the largest gaming market on earth will “Avoid” one of the most prestigious games series of all time from one of the largest (western) gaming companies in existence “Like The Plague”? How did you reach that conclusion?

If it’s gonna be free-to-play, I think it will do fine on mobile.

You kidding? I’ve seen so many “got a phone” cracks in the Discords I’m in that I can absolutely promise people are still butthurt over that dude’s joke all this time. Like, they’re holding a legitimate grudge burning as bright as some ancient family feud, and it’s *embarrassing*

Seriously. I wasn’t excited after the announcement either, but holy shit, leave him be. It’s the same energy as people who scream at McDonald’s employees because they messed up your order by forgetting a sauce you asked for, or are yelling at Walmart employees because they’re out of stock of some item they want, etc.

I guess people dont have phones

I really hope people don’t take this as a reason to blast the one guy from Blizzcon about it again. Dude was raked over the coals enough for that, even if it was a legitimately bad look at the time. But look at me, that’s like hoping I won’t get wet if I go outside in the rain.

I will always take gamer rage with a grain of salt and as a small fraction of the actual community that plays. To me, the fact that it has gotten to this point is the failure of both 343 and Microsoft. It has been too long for both the game and its features to arrive. I think the frustration is warranted, but perhaps

If a company is bought out via LBO, its bankruptcy odds go from 2% to 20%. Seems like a bad business model!

No one is buying what you’re selling, plant.

We don’t need to invent new terms. AAA games are distributed through a large publisher and have high development and marketing budgets, that’s all it is. How the work is divided between regional offices, or whether you personally think a game is generic, has nothing to do with it.

Yes, it’ll get much much MUCH worse before the entire thing is shuttered and literally thousands of people are layed off nearly all at once

Isn’t private equity that thing where some company swoops in to buy another flailing company, loads it with debt to boost stock price and then sell when they have achieved their goal, leaving whatever remains with the debt problems? That thing where the CEO class wins and the rest loses?

Occasionally whenever there’s ubisoft news, I can’t help but let my mind wander to the Vivendi’s hostile take over attempt from a while back and wonder how things might have turned out had that gone through. Would the company be under by this point? Would it be worse? Would it still have the chronic sexual abuse
