NA rotaries crave lower octane and run best on 87 or even lower. I can’t run 93 in my rotary, it will rob me of ponies.
So this happened in Florida right?
Theres one born every minute.
You don’t buy cars as investments, you buy them because you love em.
Yeah, just keep spouting that rotary internetz knowledge will ya. NA rotaries are almost indestructible if oil and cooling are maintained correctly. Only a boosted rotary blows apex seals.
I’ll take the rotary love where I can find it. Nice car and a hoot to drive for sure.
You should always carry a BFH in every car. It can fix so many things.
I’m a boomer and it reminds of my age.

I was able to get 17 mpg highway from my nieces GW after adding efan, modifying the ignition a bit and rebuilding the carb and doing a good tune-up on it. It was around 14-15 mpg city if I remember right. Shen she dropped it off it only got 12!
Buy the FSM (Factory Service Manual) and read it. Cover to cover if you can. You will be amazed at what you pickup and retain. I do this for all my cars.

Modern day James Dean. Lots of parallels here.
Can’t wait to snag these from the junkyard to use on minibikes and karts.
The fact that the junkyards stack them up shows they have no real value, at least for the exterior parts because the get ruined.
I live in Huntersville (north of Charlotte) and try to get out to the mountains as often as I can to run the hills. I’ve seen a lot of roads marked 45 mph that are very challenging in my RX7. 151, 276, 129 all come to mind. Most of the Blue Ridge Parkway is 45 mph as well but good luck hitting it with all the tourist…
Which mountain roads would those be, a friend wants to know. <wink wink>
So show me a piston engine that doesn’t use oil?
How about the bran find books by Tom Cotter. Lots of great stories and pictures.
