I certainly see that Bernie has difficulty speaking in a way that resonates with “Big Mama.” I think most of us white people fall short at that ability, regardless of good intentions. But to your question: “Sanders doesn’t ask his white friends why poor white people voted for a racist rich man who doesn’t care about

And in fact, that IS Sander’s goal.  Any candidate wants to influence the ultimate platform coming out of the convention.  Since exit polls show that MOST Americans support every policy that Sanders pushes, it makes sense for all progressives to want to deliver their voters to Biden by continuing to push the platform

My comments were about the headline, and it’s disconnect from the content of the article.

Now playing

for some comic relief on the similar “holiday”

Huh? ...i’m confused. Did the cited article not make sense to you, regarding the context of the complaint by Tezlyn Figaro?

...and from the looks of it (she was fired for anti-immigrant remarks), releasing her from the NDA might turn out just fine.

Thanks.  I appreciate having the extra background and context.

Well, he actually did come clean—with the acknowledgement and the apology—which at no time inserted the legendary cop-out word, “if,” and which didn’t dissociate his campaign from the associated organization that was the real target of the lawsuit (as most would try to do). But at this point, what I would also want

ok, so this isn’t a bad article at all. It covers in detail how Sanders responded, the acknowledgement and apology that did not anywhere include the word, “if” and which detailed what he and his campaign would do to prevent biased actions from white staff in the future, and then did those things, as reflected in the

YEAH!  I loved that guy!!

Golfing as a “public option.” We the People are paying for his golf habit.

Dem-desperation is what disturbs me the most. When we plan to vote for Bloomberg (esp in the primary), we are basically saying that we believe that it is only a republican who can beat Trump. And that above all, we are saying that we trust the accumulation of power and capital, as much as we think we don’t. And of

Thanks, Terrell, for writing this. But most of all, thanks for being capable of the thinking and feeling and self reflection that it takes to be able to write this.

ok.  Good point.  I wish she hadn’t put him down, though, and had just said, “he broke the law, no matter how well intentioned he might have been.”

...and, he took the consequences. Isn’t that our definition of an “ally,” or even “an accomplice?” He put his self interest aside to elevate the interests of those marginalized.

Berglund said, “...and it’s ruined my life. It’s ruined my company. It ruins everything about my situation right now...”

I think you’re proving my guess that you didn’t watch the hearings, likely at all. If you had, you’d know there were no “short cuts.” The evidence was voluminous. MANY Senate republicans said exactly that.

The problem is, any dissent affects any republican who shows it. The Republicans tolerate NO dissent. Even one Senator (Romney) voting “guilty” has led him to be banned from the next Conservative Convention and to be subjected to online assaults and threats on Twitter and elsewhere. If Trump didn’t literally say,

hmmm...I’m guessing from your comments that Democrats didn’t bring a “strong case” that  you didn’t watch much of the hearings, either in the House or the Senate. In the Senate “trial,” even most Republican Senators ended up agreeing that there was a “strong case” presented against Trump and they agreed it was “wrong”

It’s all very sad. Many years ago, I read every page of the police interviews with both Kobe and his accuser. Remarkably, their stories are very, very similar, except on one point: consent.
Kobe thought she consented to what was basically “rough sex.” She said no several times to what he was doing, and at the point
