Point of the article is that the specific stuff that automakers claim AA sends back to Google is not quite as extensive as they claim. Not that Google isn’t collecting some data.
This was an incorrect rumor spread by Toyota as an excuse for why they didn’t get off their ass and implement Android Auto. Google refuted it back in 2015.
Toyota & BMW, collaborating on everything including still not friggin supporting Android Auto.
I’m also a big GLA45 fan.
The Clubman & Countryman weigh a lot more than the 2-door hardtop, but not much more than a Golf R.
The M2 is a 6-cylinder rwd 2-door coupe with a marginally usable back seat. Sure it’s in the same price/performance ballpark, but it’s kind of its own thing vs. the RS3 and A45 with their transverse 4-cylinders, awd, back doors, and back seats that fit normal size adults.
Mercedes and Audi both seem to think there’s a market for both regular hot and extra-spicy versions of their transverse 4 cylinder cars. But I’m not sure how many people are buying luxury brand 400 hp Mitsubishi Evo equivalents.
Guess what? Your wish has already been granted, albeit with a couple extra doors.
The X2 M35i and upcoming 2020 Mini Clubman & Countryman JCW all compete directly against the A35 and S3. It’d be nice to see a more-bonkers BMW version to compete against the A45 and RS3. But we’re not hurting for options.
The M135i is a direct competitor for the A35 (and S3). Here in the US we get the same basic car in the form of the X2 M35i, and upcoming 2020 Mini Clubman & Countryman JCW.
2-box is a better shape for fitting more stuff inside than 3-box. But a lighter, lower, 2-wheel drive 3-box is more efficient than a heavier, taller, all- wheel drive 2-box.
I wear tights at the gym, with shorts over them, for several reasons including the Many Women Don’t Really Want to See That factor.
I’m a man. I wear tights at the gym, because I get cold if when I sweat in a not-very-warm gym. This happens year-round because most gyms I’ve gone to, in the winter they only run the heat just high enough for people not to complain about the cold, but in the summer the AC is cold enough and people have fans blowing…
EVs are becoming increasingly common at least in major metro areas. I’m in the DC area and there are plenty of Teslas, with a smattering of other stuff like Chevy Bolts, Kia Soul EVs and Audi e-Trons.
But are you talking NA or TT? I know the TT is difficult but the 2+2 is NA only...
Legless Canadians, small children, close enough, right?
