How bout this?

If all you meant to say was “these vegan processed food companies are profitable because lots of people are buying their products,” then why ascribe it to “vegans as a whole?” Your choice of words could just as easily be read as the majority of vegans eat the stuff often. And if you were concerned about clearing that

How do you know that "vegans as a whole" are "eating this stuff by the truckload"?

Ok fine we have to go pedantic? Yes, they said “I think,” that “many” vegans went vegan for superficial-to-them reasons, and then continued on to state that the reason they think this is based on their experience with one specific vegan. Which is generalizing about a whole group based on experience with one member.

I’ve assumed nothing. You said:

This has nothing to do with a science-speak or a lab environment or the real world. For a conclusion to be true, it must be based on facts.

That’s not how this works. You made a conclusion that’s not supported by your premises. You need more information to support your conclusion. You’ve done everything except provide more information to support your conclusion. I hope you have a nice life.

You just keep saying “nuh uh” as if repeating it is somehow going to make your assumption correct. Was a vegan mean to you once and now you’ve decided to go on this crusade?

Look, we can do this dance all you want. But you’re the one stringing together a few facts to make a conclusion that doesn’t flow from those facts. I learned this in my Logic 101 class in college. Your conclusion is not supported by your premises. You need more information for your conclusion to be true. The burden of

You think vegans are sitting around eating a bunch of highly processed fake shit when that’s not what we do.

Right, because gorillas are dairy farmers. Fucko.

No, I don’t agree with your comparison. You are comparing a highly processed vegan food item to a non-processed, non-vegan item. It is logically equivalent to comparing highly processed and non-processed items that are both non-vegan.

Maybe if we all click on this unsubscribe link he’ll go away!

And you've determined that it's a safe generalization, based on what exactly? Your own assumptions?

Look, I know vegans can be preachy and annoying as shit, and they’re easy to hate. Hell, before I went vegan, my sister did, and I gave her shit about it. I even like the joke, “You know how you can tell someone’s vegan? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.”

Or maybe the bank asked her what she was going to do with the nutrition diploma, and she said something like, “I’m going to be a nutritionist focused on a vegan diet.”

Nice non-comparison there. Of course whole foods are better than packaged foods. Whether vegan or otherwise. It’s not like we vegans go around eating a bunch of packaged foods all the time.

I’m vegan and I did it to be nice to animals. I was already super into health and fitness before I made the switch and have continued to be. Maybe don’t generalize about a whole group based on your experience with one member of it.

I’m not trying to get you to change your mind. Just saying why I would rather have the i30 N. Personally, I already have a hopped up BMW 335xi coupe that has a marginal-at-best back seat. I can put people back there in a pinch, which I don’t need to do often, but it’s tight.
