I actually prefer the VQ35 R50 LE (and QX4) over both the 3rd and 4th gen 4Runners. The 3rd gen 4Runner is narrow and slow. The 4th gen you sit on the floor and the visibility is poor.
I know, I just couldn’t resist barfing out my knowledge of the details of the Pathfinder 4wd system since it was one of the options I considered when I was shopping for a winter vehicle. I’m OCD about differentials (among many other things).
