What is this, England? We’re calling them lorries now?

In exchange for no low range the M5 has an active torque vectoring rear differential, and you have to twiddle a bunch of settings in an iDrive menu instead of a handy knob.

I don’t believe that’s accurate. This sure looks like a manual recline lever to me:

Miatas are perfectly fine solo road trip cars. Then you just put your crap on the passenger seat. I successfully drove 14 hours from Washington, DC to Madison, WI in my old NB, top down most of the way. It also didn’t have the visibility issues of the RF. But still, overall a trouble-free experience.

And they did it for a long time! The 928 disco chessboard seats are from 1978, but they were still playing around with the 1988 944 Turbo S “silver rose.”

These ain’t got nothing on the original Porsche 928 disco chess board seats.

Yeah and the Focus ST has something similar. But they’re my substitute for a real helical LSD.

BUT IT HAS ALL THE TORQUESSSSSSSSS!!!! BENCH RACINGGGGGG!!!!

Ah yes, we have arrived at the time-honored completely pointless tradition of internet bench racing.

Yes, car prices are negotiable.

So what? I’m talking sticker prices. Yes there are always going to be differences in what kind of deals you can get on one car vs. another in the real world and those differences may be significant comparing a brand new model to another which has been on the market for a while and being sold by a brand with a

The Civic Si is not solely about power. It has an LSD and adaptive shocks standard.

The Porsche 924/944/968 use a semi-trailing arm rear suspension with torsion bars instead of coil springs.

Minivans are absolutely the best tool for the job. Anyone who can’t bring themselves to drive one because of their own insecurity about the stigma of driving a vehicle that gives away the fact that they do, in fact, have kids, is a giant pussy. Shocking news: if you unload several children from a crossover, PEOPLE

While the LSD helps put down power, Si power levels aren’t so much that bumping a non-Si with an open diff is going to be a liability and therefore a bad idea. It’s just the LSD is better.

The Si gets all those things, in fact. Helical LSD, adaptive shocks with stiffer springs & sway bars, bigger brakes, better seats.

Si adds an LSD and adaptive shocks. If all you care about is hp then yes you can get a non-Si to make Si power levels, but you still don’t have an LSD or adaptive shocks.

I have MHD on my BMW 335xi. It’s an Android app. They sell licenses in pieces. $199 for the ability to flash your ECU, $49 for each map pack, and $69 for data logging.

The Si isn’t just a horsepower bump, and this tune doesn’t give you the LSD and adaptive shocks on the Si.
