Any high-end active noise cancelling pair of headphones will probably do. Active noise cancelling is amazing technology. Bose QuietComfort 35 II is a favorite. So is Sony’s WH 1000XM2 (which I happen to have) or its improved successor, the WH 1000XM3.

Then again, sit in front for considerably less engine drone/noise.

What’s the difference between a hypershell dropping back into the atmosphere and an ICBM doing the same? Not much. THAAD can intercept ballistic missiles in re-entry phase doing 6+ km/sec.

But, by that same argument...

You would probably be pleasantly surprised.

As I said: from reading Kitchen Confidential, and learning what he had overcome (for instance he learned the statistics of coming off heroin, a success rate of 1 in 4, and he decided there and then he’d belong to the 25%) he didn’t appear as that kind of a spur-of-the-moment guy.

I don’t see how Asia, and the reverse-situation #HerToo, could have ruined him. Devastating? It must have been, no doubt, but they were only dating for little over a year. I can’t see how that relation was stronger than the bond he had with his daughter.

I finished reading Kitchen Confidential this weekend, the very book that got him to do TV shows. It was impossible for me to read the book without, in my mind, hearing it in his voice.

A horrible image of me and of the sport has come out.
I’m not like that, people who know me well know that!
In my career, I’ve always been a just rider. Last year I was one of the few who was not penalised, I have never put someone else’s life in jeopardy

TIME TO UPDATE the headline.

The world’s most powerful inline 4?

Nope:

Proving the effectiveness of the halo does not require a life to be saved first.

Non-native speaker here, so what's your point?

1.3 MEGAWATTS ???

In metric it is supposed to be easy: 1 to 10 to 100, though that's not quite up to seawater salt concentration.

Well, life sort of gets in the way, doesn’t it? Spending less time actively posting, more lurking, less online, more time with my family. Priorities have shifted...

Here’s the problem: The government mandated legacy system is such that traditional cabbies CANNOT switch to Uber and still pay off the debt incurred to get the licence in the first place. Take New York:

If there is a system in place where you have to buy yourself in to get a taxi licence (and often, those licences aren’t cheap) and suddenly you get competition from drivers who circumvented this financial burden, you have every right to be pissed.
