Because consumers are sort of dumb and prone to buy from brand and model recognition than actual qualities of the said product.
Yep, you got it. Cheap ain’t a four letter word over here.
It’s called ‘price point’. Anyone who can afford a Chevy Bolt already has one, or is waiting for the Model 3. Meanwhile, if you just want a super-limited range cheap EV, there’s tons of used and heavily discounted new Leafs (Leaves?)
Customer: “So when can I order a Bolt?”
Tesla REALLY needs to push the battery exchange model, or develop 5 minute charge capability
It is this exact brand of false dichotomy that breeds ignorance.
And then the Mexicans took their jobs. We really need a wall.
My only regret is that I wont be around to see some Gen double D-ers
I’m thinking Gen AA, Gen BB, Gen CC, etc.
The NYT article tells the story of a Tesla parked in an EV charging spot, but didnt need a charge and was therefore not plugged in. This prevented someone else in need of a charge from getting a charge. Not much different from an ICE-hole
For low electric range cars I’m sure this is a problem, but if you’ve got a Tesla with almost 200 miles of range or a Volt with a range extender the amount of recharging you need to do away from home is going to be lower. Maybe it's more of a bonus if you get to charge at work at that point. Low range electrics will…
Technically its not a “Tesla Killer” until they actually have something real, tested and at your local dealership. Until then they can show all the concepts they want. Might as well be a floating car concept.
Is this in collaboration with Gillette?
Yeah, I’m sure most Panamera owners are looking at track capabilities when making their decision. They wanted a Lotus Elise but needed more interior space.
Please. No one’s buying a Panamera over a Model S because they can track it.
Nah. I’m no fan of Musk (horrible scent too), but I’d easily take a P85D over a panamera any day of the week.
He does not see the iceberg.
(Porsche is furiously developing their own EV platform)
Not unlike how GM “dissed” the Japanese in the 70’s. How’d that work out?
