I’ll echo the recommendation for Cricket. I’ve been with them for 2 years now, and it’s been great. I’ve had no coverage issues traveling between central NC, western NC, and east TN. Also, I stream a decent amount of music while traveling, and I’ve yet to go over the allotment.

Cricket user here and couldnt be happier. If you need data its the best way to go. FYI though, the unlimited plan bans tethering...but there is a way to get around it using USB tethering.

Macrium Reflect is a fantastic suggestion; it’s easy to use and is a one-stop interface for making/browsing VHDs. That and a decent external drive is all most folks would need; the truly cautious could then back up the resulting VHD to the cloud for redundant redundancy.
