I teared up a little seeing Sama in her party dress.

These videos make me sad for Joan because they make it seem like she has never enjoyed something unironically in her entire life.

I also think it can be beneficial to have a non-expert on the panel because they stand in to ask questions and prompt explanations for non-expert viewers. She explained in a tweet that she’s not actually the MC, just on the panel, which I think is fine.

I thought they meant it was creepy for some woman to yell out that Charlotte is her favourite.

All shade, I’ve seen Bigbang live and they really don’t need to replace him. They’ll be fine.

Lately I’ve been feeling like Jez in general are intentionally churning out poorly researched and argued hot takes because they know they increase views and engagement from the commentariat and not out of any genuine belief in their opinions. Jez has always had the occasional misguided/reactionary take, but it never

The Impossible Burger is called a Rebel Whopper here in Australia and I got so excited, but then I ate it and remembered that most fast food burgers are awful and I never ate them even when I did eat meat.

I’m vegetarian, not vegan, but I don’t really care if my food is cooked alongside meat. I want there to be a sustainable use of resources, and cooking veg in the same place as meat seems like it is likely a more efficient use of energy rather than heating two separate grills.

It’s sad that there are people who are insisting that understanding how indoctrination works is the same as Nazi apologia. My granddad was a POW at Burma during WW2. In general it was too awful for him to talk about, but one of the things he did tell my mother was that as cruel as the Japanese guards were, most of

I thought this was a career best for her.

I would have thought the emotional turning point would have made it immediately clear that the film is very anti-Nazi even if you weren’t picking up the hints before that.

His Jewish mother is the daughter of his Russian Jewish grandmother and he considers himself a Polynesian Jew. Given that Jewish heritage is matrilineal he’d hardly be the only Jewish man to only be 1/8 Jewish ‘genetically’.

And he was specifically talked into making this movie by his Jewish mother.

Agreed. “Laugh along with Nazis” is definitely not even remotely what I got from it.

From an outsider’s perspective, it feels like absolutely everything in the US is calibrated to ensure workers are completely dependent on their employers for survival, so they’re nice and compliant.

How is someone who murdered his wife in 2006 already free in 2020? I’m all about prison as a rehabilitative process but it does seem like a murder sentence should be older than a pubescent child.

Yeah, for me it’s not at all about saying Charles is good, I just really think we need to emphasise how uniquely awful Pence is.

It is difficult to be wrong on every single issue like he is.

I’m no huge fan of Charles, but he’s been using his rare political commentary for years primarily to push for action on climate change, so saying he sucks “just as much” as Mike Pence feels like a real overreach.

I can’t be the only one who thinks the lawsuit just makes her look more like a Russian or Republican asset?
