Not sure if you’re trolling but this is a bad take. There is definitely not loads of money in plastic recycling. If you read the comment above on how difficult it is to get plastic cleaned and separated and the difficulty of reusing said plastic in a manufacturing process you’d understand a little bit better.

Waste/Recycling industry employee here. It’s not simply a matter of companies doing a better job sorting the material. There are state of the art facilities that take single stream recycling (mixed recycling with paper,plastic, metal, etc) and can separate it into the different streams.
