“because what he can offer—a great coach that everyone wants to play for, one of the best young lineups in the game, an organization that is now fully entering “win now” mode...”
If Kroenke wants to know the secret to getting his players out of St. Louis as fast as possible, he should talk to Theo Epstein.
Exactly! And nobody with 20 or more stolen bases either! The ‘75 Reds would’ve mopped the floor with these guys.
Signing Heyward may be the move of the year, if only because it’s driving Cardinals fans fucking insane.
Cardinals Fans are very angry.
It's fun to see the lengths Internet folks will go to to keep their narratives alive.
He just jumped to #1 on Jerry Jones draft board (and heart).
This sounds like any run-of-the-mill Too Raw Sports Dad story
Former goalie, just wanted to say this is every goalie’s fantasy for when a guy coughs up the puck skating out from behind the net.
How many public figures from the world of sports do you know who can prompt this kind of discussion? If Curt fucking Schilling can attract attention and debate with his inane Twitter bullshit, why not Kareem?
Goddamn, why don’t people talk about Kareem Abdul Jabbar the scholar more? The man is astonishingly well-read and conversant in a ridiculous number of things, and has a number of academic publications. Why haven’t we drafted this guy as one of our leaders in public discourse, I do not know.

Literally nobody will be using this to breed more domestic dogs. That’s pretty clearly not why they’re doing it. I’m onboard with your ethics with regards to dog breeders and shelters though
Also pretty sure OP isn't aware of what IVF is, since most arguments seem to be geared towards seeing this being abused to make champion show dogs for super rich dog collecting villains.
I think you're confusing IVF with some type of genetic engineering in your line of reasoning, but w/e.
The research isn’t strictly about making test tube dogs. They’re using it as a proof-of-concept for other species who have estrous cycles and/or don’t ovulate mature oocytes.
This isn’t really about dog breeding. This is about studying IVF in canids that are endangered all over the world. It just happens that dogs are much easier to source and experiment with.
Not even in the case of helping endangered species bring their numbers back up?
