Great idea!

I admire all the hard work and investment that went into the 6, but it's neither the Times' nor Jezza's job to pat MG on the back for making what, when all's said and done, is a probably not a class-leading car.

Also, obligatory...

I Confess, Without A Doubt, there is no Rear Window here. Suspicion lies with The Man Who Knew Too Much who was in the other kart. There is not a Shadow Of A Doubt that he now rests in the Family Plot.

I apologize that I wasn't clear, I was agreeing with you. I wanted to relay my dislike of CAGS and that I would have it off permanently in the current car as I feel the car is less safe due to the skip shift preventing the desired gear selection at possible tight scenarios. Thus I either Rev higher or eliminate it

Don't forget the Chevy Tahoe. Lots of those here in Texas. Lots.

Especially since GM has offered things like this before. My '95 Saturn had a switch on the shifter console (auto) that had "Perf" and "Norm" on it. Performance mode raised the shift points by about 500 RPM and made the transmission downshift under much less load.

930's are hard to drive for numerous reasons. Rear engine, Porsche handling, etc, but that is typical of all Porsches. What made the 930 special was the turbo lag. Being in the middle of a turn and if you were off boost then can on boost your power would go from ~120hp or so to ~240hp instantly. That big KKK turbo

truth. a friend of mine has one of these and she let me drive it once. the turbo lag is homicidal.

RUF is a certified manufacturer in Germany, yes it is a 100% full fledged production car.

Yeah the RUF Yellowbird took an already lethal car and turned it up to eleven.

High speed and *excessive* power is for pussies.

Easy choice. I would go with a high mileage 91 or 92 and drive the piss out of it.

Yes. This is No.2 on my top 5 list.

There is no better answer.

Somewhere, someone has penned the "Europeans Used to Think SUV Owners Were 'Freaks'" article.

Game, set, match.

Its no Lightning but I'm sure the market will take it.

"Aston Bang & Olufsen"

They're built in Fort Wayne - home pride, man!
