I beat you by 12 minutes, fair and square! ;)

“Violation of team policy” was getting caught.

I was “followed” by “Deadspin,” though it never showed up in my profile under “followers.” I saw it in the notifications when it happened, and I’m pretty sure I have Albert B. himself to thank for getting me out the grays. As a result of the Deadspin follow (I suppose), my posts are only not gray on Deadspin posts. In

I deleted my original thought. Didn’t want to wake up to a bunch of angry comments in the morning....

.

See, every once in a while a Deadspin commenter comes over here and adds a little something to the conversation.... :)

34 is the “I made it farther than Jesus” birthday. Daunting, even for the irreligious.

BTW—That’s 2 of your comments I’ve been the first to star today—the other being about Festivus. I think that takes them out of the grays b/c I got myself out of the grays making fun of Burneko a few months back and earned a follow from him/Deadspin in the process? Is that how it works? If I follow you do you get

+1 USC lawsuit

Is your name, by chance, Michael Bolton? (and I’m going to need that TPS report....)

I wonder how much of this is indirectly on offshoot of the drive toward parity. Some stat geek will tell me I’m wrong, but it seems there are fewer lopsided blowouts these days, which means a lot more games have the CHANCE to come down to one call on one possession at or near the end of the game. We probably aren’t

Inglewood and Carson can be 4 hours apart if you try to drive it during rush hour when it’s raining.

Yup. Thanks. I made the mistake of going to get lunch after my initial heinous mistake of getting my NCAA acronyms wrong....

Good point. I’d known that and forgotten it. Nevertheless, Roger only threw 18 touchdown passes in 3 seasons. That’s surprising to me. The guy won the Heismann and took his team to a de facto title game in the Cotton Bowl in 1963 with this stat line over 11 games: 128 for 192, 1702 yards, 7 touchdowns and 7

So old school, in fact, I can’t figure out how to edit that post to fix it.

Yup. I’m old school and can’t keep it straight. Was going to say “D1,” but no doubt would have taken shit for that, too. I’ll fix it.

Reynolds holds the all-time FCS record for rushing touchdowns, and has (I think, without looking it up) now tied both the all-time combined (rushing and receiving) mark and Navy’s passing TD mark with two games left to play. Most surprising thing about that list is that the previous Navy mark for passing TDs was NOT

Both companies.

Lots of folks have these in San Diego. Grass isn’t really supposed to grow there, so it makes sense if you can afford a good one. My neighbor even had a putting green installed as part of his.
