Meh, all that test indicates is that if you have noticeable symptoms, you almost certainly have the disease. It’s pretty much a completely worthless study.

Have there been any studies done on the rate of CTE in your average Joe? Would be interesting to have a control group of people who just lived average lives, maybe played high school sports.

A dose-response relationship would be very informative. If length of time in the NFL correlated strongly with degree or severity of CTE...you got a pretty good link.
Right now all we know is that nearly all the guys who we think have CTE, whose brains we scooped out and looked at, have it.

My strong personal belief is that football can cause CTE, and that rates of CTE would be astronomically higher among football players vis-a-vis non-football players.
