Stop with the persecution complex. You can’t claim that it was “likely” cancelled because it was a conservative show. That idea just exists in your imagination. Shows are cancelled because of money and ratings.
Tim Allen is ruining Galaxy Quest for me, tho by being such a douche.
“If this were the case, and was about small federal government rather than racism, he would not be instructing them to always go for the worst offenses.”
Seems pretty clear that exaggerating racial characteristics as a joke might offend some people.
Reminds me of a line from Elizabeth Wurtzel’s book Bitch, where she talks about the priorities of the family in which Nicole Brown Simpson grew up, where all the girls had breast implants but none had a college degree.
I only know Sedgwick as a marginally-talented actor who was notable for being born rich and beautiful, who therefore had things handed to her, who didn’t do anything notable on her own, and who died very young from an overdose.
I don’t know why we let this be a debate; it’s not a debate. It’s literally in their constitution.
Congress may be deeply unpopular, but very few people are upset with their own representative.
It just puzzles me why, with the largest roster of the team sports, so many people look to a draft as something that can improve a team by 3 or 4 wins. It may be because of the marketing and the mythology the NFL and ESPN put around that event, I don’t know.
the ACA which destroyed healthcare
Ah, but who made it a partisan issue in the first place? They’re the ones insulting your intelligence, not me.
And what did Paul Ryan say at the time? Oh, yeah....
I should have figured they’d be trying to get in on the scam.
If this is true, this needs to be on the front page everywhere. I imagine these figures would cross partisan lines and shut this bill the fuck down back to the depths of hell.
And Ryan was so critical of her at the time. But we really can’t him to be logically consistent now.
Trying to label this as a partisan issue is silly.
It’s a whole lot harder to gerrymander an entire state, so Senators are (ironically) more accountable to their constituents than members of the House are.
Sometimes they can’t be familiar with every single nuance buried in complex legislation. But they sure as hell should know the broad strokes, especially when those broad strokes deliberately target their own constituents.
This didn’t seem to bother anyone when the ACA was passed
