Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

Jesus fucking Christ, man. You're willfully missing the point.

Cool. Jumping from that comment- in which he said nothing about feeling anyone in particular responsible for those things- to “this GM is at fault for his early retirement!” is- how do I put this?, oh yeah... It’s fucking dumb.

You found me out. In my attempt to stop people from using sports talk radio rationale to explain why a person who has always put his life in front of his football life would quit, I have given up my secret identity, Brian Grigson, the secret twin brother to a certain former Colts GM. And I would have gotten away with

The fact that I am getting shit from both sides really says all there is to say and makes my point very nicely.

The “entertainment product” they’re consuming is a football game. If they want to “express displeasure” with the events of that game, fine. If they want to boo when Luck throws an interception or the officials blow a call, fine.

You don’t know that.

Wow. Just... wow.

This gets my stamp of approval.

I’m not typically one to cast aspersions on people I don’t know, but if Dan Dakich’s family member is dealing with chronic work-related injuries, has earned $100 million in the last seven years, and has a degree in architectural design from Stanford, then he’s an idiot for continuing to show up every day at the steel

Football in the South in particular has long had only a partial veneer at best over the days when black Americans toiled for their white masters. While most of them would never admit it in public, that dynamic remains a big part of the sport’s draw for many.

I’ve seen people defending the fans because “we all are mentally drained and we still have to go to work”.

Maybe, according to Dan Dakich, we pay our football players too much. A cursory google search shows that Andrew Luck has made about $50,000,000 in his “brief” NFL career. Clearly more than enough to retire comfortably on.

Dan Dakich’s family members who are steel mill workers, cops and teachers make considerably less

What it really tells you is that when you come to football purely for love of the game (i.e., especially if you come from an upbringing of privilege) and make a relatively huge amount of money in your early career, it doesn’t matter how good you might have been or how much more money you probably stood to earn, it’s

In my opinion, we can never express our thanks loudly or often enough for the heroic actions of all the notaries who have sacrificed everything for this country.

I hope that NFL players take note of the lack of empathy people have shown Andrew Luck during this entire process. Don’t feel guilty about hold-outs for more money. Get as much money as you can and get the hell out before it becomes a detriment to your health.

I mean, I’m sure they *like* notaries. They fill an important role during the signing of contracts and the like. But I think that liking falls a like short of “hard on.”

Reminds me of the old joke
Q: How are the beers at Estadio Azteca like having sex in a canoe?
A: They’re both fucking close to water. Ultimately it’s an unfulfilling experience that leaves no one happy

This is the longest, most prolix “go fuck yourself” I’ve read in a while, and I love it so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant.
