My Italian relatives will say hot and/or spicy foods have a cooling effect—maybe dilating vessels and allowing relaxation? Like you I enjoy a little spice but unfortunately my tolerance is in the lower ranges.

You rightfully live up to your name! :) but my point still stands. Before COVID, most of folks in this country were less than $500 away from financial disaster. Running a business that depends on a clientele who can afford this—even for those for whom it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience—in these times is not

I don’t exactly find it offensive, but I think they missed some of the context. This is a very expensive restaurant (Their menu items are in the three figure range EACH) and this virus is having an outsized effect on people who could never afford to eat there—and that number is rising every day. While it may not have

It does not look appetizing.

It looks cheap and flimsy.

Don’t get me wrong - I want to see her punished with whatever anyone else who would commit the same crime would get. It’s the consistency that’s important. If it’s jail time and a fine and public service, then she needs to get it and serve it.

The argument is, Christian Cooper is still here to have the choice not to “participate.” Had he been shot and killed, the machinery of law would have gone ahead without him all the same. So that point is moot. Think what you will about his opinion, he is unnecessary to the process.

I have to say that pic makes me want to dive right in, despite the

I knew how reading this was going to leave me feeling and I read it anyway. Now I'm really hungry and whatever I end up with won't be super spicy burger soup. Oh well, it's a damn shame.

Yeah his yard looks like it was a field and he didn’t replant decent yard grass.  That’s field grass right there.

I had the very same thought when I saw the grill listing, and the description of the product basically insults the intelligence of anyone who might buy it.

I used to live in that area. I am VERY familiar with her type.

Since we reopened on June 8, we’ve been busy. But I don’t recognize almost any of the customers. We’re in a tourist town and have a very loyal group of regular locals during low season; these are the ones I expected to be back, but...it’s not them. The customers now are locals, but they’re new, many have never been in

What the hell is up with his lawn?

There are soooooooo many people taking the opportunity to be a jerk in sooooo many situations right now.

Handle it like an adult.

The axe forgets but the tree remembers.

A REASONABLE and THOUGHTFUL response! How dare you! We’re burning a witch here!

You just haven’t found the right recipe. I found this really basic recipe about 15 years ago that I have since used as my “quiche template” ever since. I make it multiple times a year. I have a friend who often hosts brunch potlucks, and I always bring, where it’s a big hit.
