I’m a broken record on this, but Musk’s far right rantings will eventually crash his business model. The far right is not the target demographic for EV buyers. Especially now that the floodgates of newer, more exciting, and better choices have opened.

Your drivers license should be revoked.

The poster made it sound like the pedestrian entered the crosswalk when the car was already passing through, but that is clearly not the case. The pedestrian entered the crosswalk before the Tesla, so a stop is required. The Tesla blows the stop. No argument to be had.

There’s a sign in front of the crosswalk that says to Yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.

Good try buddy! But breaking the law isn't any more special for an AI then it would be for you. Well I guess that's not really true, but you get the idea.

It is state law to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. You can tell because there’s a sign clearly visible in the video that says exactly that. The Tesla failed to yield to the pedestrian in the crosswalk, breaking the law. So it either didn’t know, or it did know and broke the law anyway. Those are the only two

It’s straight-up illegal. You must yield to pedestrians in crosswalks — as in stopping your car. In particular, if this were a kid, you can’t predict that they won’t suddenly speed up. The purpose of yielding is that you don’t have to deal with the what ifs.

Who, besides the weird nerds who unconditionally worship Elon, is going to buy one of these? Everything it had as a market advantage has already been done better by someone else. Want a normal truck that’s electric? Ford Lightning. Want a trendy, cool lifestyle one? Rivian. Want something outrageous that stands out?

“Ingested while fucking dragon."

Only if it also involved the words “fucking dragon”.

I hope the word ingested in not used in the writeup for my death

There’s a HUMMER EV I see on my commute about once a week, and honestly, it doesn’t seem that huge in person. Big for sure, but not any larger than all the modern pickups rolling around.

I think you may be misunderstanding a bit how this stuff works. What we have here is a snippet of legally vetted description of the incident. What actually happened, in context, likely made someone feel uncomfortable (or objectified or threatened) enough that the people in the know saw it as a fireable offense.

No

If anything, that would make me MORE worried since it’s built by hand by people who KNOW that it’ll be a demo/shown to the public, and they still didn’t give enough of a shit to make the panels line up.

Lol, no it isn’t “unfair”. Tesla showed this at a semi-public event and let people record it. How is that unfair?

Why on Earth would you even show this thing in that condition? That mirror is straight up broken. This is supposed to get people excited?

This is not good! I don’t care how great Tesla is for breaking the mold and bringing EV’s to the masses. When your company is already notorious for panel gaps, you just don’t put shit like this out on display.

I believe the operative phrase here, which seems applicable in several ways is..

Why do people continue to buy into his bullshit? I like the sign in front of the CT that reads, “Better utility than a truck, more performance than a sports car”, like by what fucking metrics??

I wonder if Tesla will ever redesign a model, like the S.
