Godfrey is my first choice for introducing folks to old movies, though sometimes I’ll go with The Thin Man. Powell is my absolute favorite I think.
I would argue that “His Girl Friday” belongs on this list as would the non-colorized version of “Rear Window”. Both excellent movies from the B/W era. And if you like comedies, “His Girl Friday” is a hoot and it’s in the public domain:

Folks like to call QoS a PoS, but they are very wrong. Great transition film from the resurrection that was Casino Royale. The opening sequence is easily one of the best. The finale was well done and really wrapped up character story arcs.
Yeah, but Bibi was portrayed as a teenage girl. It was indeed cringeworthy with the then-aging Roger Moore.
In my ranking of the various things of the world, I would say that this is either the best or second best film that Burton ever made as well as the last good movie he made.
