I’ve been burning through Community and Parks and Recreation, both of which hold up exceptionally well - ‘one of a kind’ productions.
The Thin Man, My Man Godfrey, The Philadelphia Story, Holiday, You Can’t Take it With You, at least half a dozen other Jean Arthur films. Fred Astaire is always good for date night... Cary Grant, Kathryn Hepburn... I really miss TCM since they moved to a different package on Comcast.
I hope this was long enough ago that you caught a bunch of Robert Osborne’s wonderful presentations/commentaries on TCM. He taught me a lot about what I love.

Having watched it, (I adore R.D.), it never occurred to me that there would be a second season. They really didn’t leave any loose ends that I can recall.

I grew to dislike this series about halfway through. I stuck around to see what would happen, not glad I did.
I still remember the Futurama episode - I believe it was The Attack of the Killer Apps - they had a 10 second throwaway to “The Real Housewives of Sim City”. It still makes me laugh.
