Bollinger. I haven’t seen any IRL but the prototypes of this electric 4x4 seem to have been made by an upsized Mecchano set, all 90 degree angles. It’s so practical and unstylish that it has swoon worthy style

Only if you believe it is necessary to look where you are going. Advanced safety sensors can’t be too advanced at this particularly idiotic moment in vehicle styling history.

Look at that grille! There is so much of it! It offers unprecedented value in grilles! Men will tighten their jaws in anger, women will swoon, the cows will give more milk when they see you behind SO MUCH FREAKING GRILLE WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. It is very...okay. However the drivetrain is like the GM Voltek system, so essentially electric drive with ICE generator. Packaging and styling are not where they need to be for a $50K car but it is getting close.

Thanks for conflating Islam with ISIS. Please stop trying to help.

Hey! Join me on the Tulsi Gabbard for Prez train!

That’s absolutely horrific. He should get a point for being creative but then -1000 points for even bringing this up.

That’s not the only reason to have an electric. The instant torque, no fumes, recharging for free/cheap at home or at work, etc.

I assumed from the headline that it was going to not be an actual endorsement of fascism. And. I was wrong.

Trenchant. Searing. Hard-hitting.

Was not aware that was a thing. We really need more proper track in the area.

Hey now! Leaves are slippery! So are mountain roads in the wet, which pretty much describes living in BC/Washington/Oregon...aka the Land of The Ubiquitous Subaru

The current 3 is very pretty from most angles. This one seems a little fatter and nose-heavy, but the interior is terrific for a not-luxury car. The AWD is a good feature and diesel-esque mileage would obviously appeal.

A Flex mated with a Toyota Highlander (the squished water bottle creases) and a gawdawful grille...nice interior though. Is the hybrid a PHEV or a fancy gas engine?

I kind of love it, but that is a big handful to drive around the city, which is where most SUVs end up. The greenhouse looks nice and airy, so visibility should be as good as it gets these days. Proximity sensors are hopefully included...the thought of taking this into underground parking gives me the willies.

I read somewhere (here, maybe?) that GM makes its money through its financing, which seems both plausible and kind of not the right focus.

Model for model, the GM cars didn’t seem to offer compelling advantages....except Buick, which, I understand, is doing really well in China. Buick stayed on brand. Cushy, comfortable, not challenging...luxurious for the money. GM positioned them against Audi, which is a joke, as I think Buick kind of ate into the

I was looking at some cars at a GM dealership and mentioned that of course, if it were my druthers, I would rather be driving an EV or PHEV for the gas savings. The salesman pretty much killed all chance of a sale when he went off on a long screed against Tesla, then added that if I wanted a REALLY good electrified

Which is an indictment of these vehicles being driven in the city. As accident-riddled an activity as it is, it is surprising that more people and things aren’t squished or crumpled in city driving involving high, turret-like vehicles with narrow arcs of visibility, which is to say, most cars and trucks.

I’m not sure what this post is going to accomplish. I’m just venting.”
