What a horrible situation. I feel so bad for the mother. She tried to do what she thought would be a good thing for herself and the baby and...it wasn’t. Heaping abuse on her seems pointless, I doubt that this extreme isolation will be what happens for encore baby. (And if it does...wow.) But this Facebook group

Nonsense. There is nothing “accurate” about saying that a movie is exactly wrong for this political climate. That is an opinion and he is entitled to it, of course.

Fine list. I was all hotted up to protest the omission of Starship Troopers, which I thought was a terribly underrated movie, but there it is at #17, quite a generous ranking.

David cheated by using a range weapon against Goliath. That was always my takeaway. To become the king...avoid rich foods. And use range weapons.

Oh my God. An entertaining movie that is not the correct thesis for this moment, in the opinion of a...a what? An expert. Well, better not see that - what if I got entertained? What a calamity.

Compared head to head with rival models, Mazdas almost always look prettier and handle more nimbly. Why don’t they sell more? No idea, but having cross-shopped for family cars recently, my subjective impression is that they are a little smaller compared to the competition, and don’t offer hybrids. Could those be

YES! I covet a Buick Enclave, a vehicle I neither really need nor truly respect, for its glorious cushy interior and four Laz-y-Boy-esque chairs.

My wife’s cousin in Iceland is a sweet man to pick us up in Reyko and take us on the circle tour, but the whole time he was (a) holding his broken visor up with one hand, leaving one hand to steer, shift, fiddle with the radio, and point at things, and (b) looked us in the eye the whole time. We were in the back seat

White nationalism is disturbing, obviously. It seems like Flat Earth theory, just bizarre. But I do wonder what you mean by expecting “pushback.”

It makes some sense to have a bigger car, not only because of bigger butts, but for utility and such. My question about them is how they are to actually use. Parking spots are getting shaved narrower and narrower. The length and height of the hood reduce forward visibility. The potential for calamity seems excessive.

OK but so much for any remaining vestiges of the notion that video games aren’t art. You learn something in this game, don’t you? About the certainty of your own convictions? Or...something?

Haha true. But the Flex is not a high end performance thingie, it is a...truckish...wagon...thingie.

Yes! Or, with the contrast toned roof, a MAXI Cooper

Harsh to rip on one’s own car, but I am not sure how anyone would ever wind up with one. The styling is...awkward...and removes much of the third row headroom of the Flex, a car that is, to my eye, endearingly utilitarian, with good sightlines, tremendous power (with the EcoBoost six), and ample luxury - maybe too

Can we not think of a way of making this constructive? Or are we all just supposed to say that Trump is evil incarnate and that there is no point in any kind of constructive engagement?

I haven’t seen a clean one in years, but the original Datsun 240z is just gorgeous, a lithe athletic design that borrows from the E type of course but is its own thing.

Love the look of the display.

Higher wages for Mexican auto workers? Easier unionization?

I think they ARE the Jetta wagon now. (I used to have a 2003 TDI Jetta wagon, still miss that thing)

Who knows if this is a good idea, but kudos for the out of the box thinking. Hope it goes well for them, geez. This weather, huh?
