That totally explains it!! This guy was stalking me for about a week. He finally caught up with me and whispered in my ear, “P0103, You have a problem with your mass air flow sensor”. True story!

Know what’s the biggest disappointment of the Prowler?

All of the negative press it got.

You know, classic hot rods were/are exactly like this... they look cool and are generally shit to drive. So *technically* Chrysler nailed the spirit of a true hot rod.

Seeing what Hoovie did to his totally changed my thinking on these cars.

I know Covid and what not, but maybe you should go drive Tyler Hoover’s Purple one. I hated these cars new, but I have renewed respect after seeing the build quality underneath and of course I would have not thought many aftermarket stuff exists, but these things look fairly easy to make them feel stronger than they

No Chrysler apologist here, but I think you whiffed on the context of where Chrysler was in the early-to-mid-90's when this was designed and rolled out:

Jalopnik writer when they see a underpowered, weird, limited edition and unreliable car only available overseas:

but also due to its very limited cargo space. Or should I say “none.”

Man the dealer markup on these when they were first released was absolutely insane. Same for the PT Cruiser.

He's so used to not seeing anybody from inside his car he thinks other people can't see out their cars either

Personally I prefer people seeing my car if I park somewhere at night but that’s just me.

you realize those things exist so other people can see your car at night, right? You realize other people exist in this world, right?

Safety be dammed, right...

Many people like their cars to reflect themselves.

7 years is too old for a tire, at least for anything I’m comfortable with at speeds over 40-45 mph. It’s not like they improve with age.

Or a 20/20 car.  Good from 20 feet away and at 20 mph.

Nah, debadge it. Keeps with German custom, and will keep ‘em guessing whatcha got.

The writing on the windshield said 2000 5 speed 4x4. Looked stock, but it’s not there anymore.

I guess now would be a bad time to tell you I saw a cherry white XJ 4x4 for sale the other day.....
