My favorite part of the recall?

So you’re saying a police package could be the same as a towing package?

Same. <3

lol

One question I used to HATE getting when I owned a CVPI was “Did they take the ‘cop chip’ out of it?”

Placebo effect. Or like someone else said, different gearing.

My head is fine. My fingers as well. Its easy to type angrily even though you’re not. Makes for more fun conversations.

Tuned for longevity, yes. Sometimes with a higher top speed limiter.

HERS versus the COPS unless your AUNT is an UNCLE because its 2018 and THAT’S OKAY.

WOW. The speed limiter is different. WOW.

But the engine, the main focus of all of this, is the same.

Well I work for a Dodge dealer. I can tell you EXACTLY what the differences are.

My point is there is no longer a difference between the “high performance” engine option from a cop car to a civilian car. Its not the 1980's anymore.

The engine... the long or short block.... is NO different from a civilian spec to a police spec car.

They DID, in fact. DID. You’re perpetuating the lie by not knowing or doing any of your own fact checking before commenting.

I was born slightly before 1984 and still laughed

The same “high-performance” 3.5 EcoBoost your Aunt Peggy can get in HER Explorer. Its written as such to claim the “high-performance” engines are “made for police cars” only.

Cooling and charging systems do not an engine make. There is no difference in the airbox or intake.

The West Palm engines are high-performance ones, made for police cars
