The Senna’s looks were engineered, not designed. It is a racecar, not a piece of moving sculpture like the Lamborghini Miura. With that frame of mind, take a look at purpose built racing cars and ask yourself, honestly how attractive are those cars? I think the answer in most cases, is, “not very”.
Correct. And, if beauty is ranked higher than performance, this might not be the McLaren (or car) for you.
The Senna is a weird on. I’ve come to realize it really only works in dark colors. I can’t remember the guys name, but there is a car famous Instagram guy, English, kinda chubby fella - his McLaren in a dark, near-black green looks fantastic. Anything other than a dark color highlights the contrasting black parts…
It isn’t supposed to be good looking, is my take.
This. A million times this.
Every day, hundreds of millions of Americans play the game - go to work, earn money, spend money, repeat. Save a little coin along the way and one day you retire. That’s the way the game has always been played.
But yet, when we look at those who have been more successful at playing the exact…
That’s what kills me about people writing “articles” like this. What business is it of theirs how much someone chooses to give away, or who they give it to? No one made Bezos give that money away, so no matter if it was $1 or $2,000,000,000, it’s up to him to decide if and how he wants to use his money.
His net worth is essentially his stock in Amazon. He doesn’t actually have access to nearly that amount of money. If he were to liquidate his entire position in Amazon it would have drastic effects.
I take it to mean if the liquidated all his assets, sold everything he had, he would be worth $163 billion. Some of that money is tied up in property, stock shares, and rich things I’ve probably never heard of.
We have a couple of Real Jalop-Heroes around here - Basement Lambo Guy, Super Rich Custom Ferrari Guy, even Put Bread on my Cars Guy - and today, you join those ranks.
If Skay was still doing it, I’d expect some cheesecake for you, but alas, she is retired. So, here you go:
This warmed my turbo in ways that few stories do.
Hi Phil you absolute legend.. Loved your vid with Sam.. just subbed to the channel.. Hoping to see some vids of some of the neat stuff going on around you automotive and otherwise..
You are my hero for today. Thank you!
THANK YOU for not ordering that thing w/ chrome wheels.
After further investigation, even the mighty 918’s & P1’s Vmax at turn one was 154 & 155 respectively. Also Randy braked hard right after turn 1, so if the Senna is capable of reaching almost 170 before turn 2, I can just imagine the sheer braking force & braking capability is the Senna holds! Astonishing!
Props for ordering it in the right color.
Well done sir, well done indeed.
So he means he “lifted of the throttle” & instead of up shifting to the next gear he double shifted up so the revs were lower, so say he was redlining on 3rd instead of upshifting to just 4th & keep his acceleration going he shifted all the way to 5th, & yes, track days do have sound limits, certain ones do, some…
Your fastest lap was 1:32 while short shifting??? Good god the Senna is a monster! I can imagine this thing really can go mid to low 1:2*s!! Please oh please hand the car to a pro driver to run a closed hot lap at Laguna Seca & take the crown from the Viper ACR! I’m betting with an experience driver with the closed…
Laguna Seca has one, because people who live near the track complained a lot about the noise. So now they have stations throughout the track that measure the dB from your car and if you exceed the track level, you get flagged and probably the track/organizer gets fined at some point if it occurs too much.
