It’s a track day, not a race.”

I wish I could duplicate you and upload your personality into every trackday driver. Thank you for temporarily restoring my faith in the internet.

We would crest turn one flat at around 160 mph and continue to just under 170 before braking into turn two.

Awesome and cool videos, glad to see one of these is actually being driven and used for its intended purpose. Not just stored away is some garage

Why did I hand the position back? It’s a track day, not a race. I have to lift and the other guy didn’t, I don’t want to ruin his lap and fun. I felt bad when I cut someone off into turn five only to lift a little later and gave him a point by too. I’m just having fun, not out there to ruin anyone else’s.

You know, as a result of this (2 people on an internet video not being d-bags), some monster is pistol-whipping a teddy bear?

They both seem like cool guys.

He just seems so miserable and unhappy. I feel so bad for him.

Warmed up the tires and not being a dick are two good qualities Phil has.

You hit the nail on the head. I talked to Phil later and he confirmed he lifted to avoid breaking the (ridiculously stupid) 90dB sound limit at Laguna. For reference, even the public highways surrounding the track have a sound limit of 95dB.

I have a theory, the sound check booth is on the outside of turn 5, the Sena’s driver didn’t want a black flag so he checked up. Not being an asshat, he let the s2000 by, good work Mr Sena driver, good work, now, put 9 mufflers on that thing and lots of foam around the engine and lets see what it can really do!

Yep. And who can blame the guy for trying to understand his (ridiculously expensive) car before going full out and crashing the damn thing?

While the pluckiness and self-aware nature of the S2000 is amusing to me, the real hero is the McLaren Senna owner who is ACTUALLY tracking his car instead of placing it inside their sealed garage with a more sophisticated HVAC system than most laboratories.

Mmm bad take

I for one can’t wait to see the 2019 Matsumura Fishworks-Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern Amphibolos!

Now playing

Ahem, Mack. You’ve forgotten the most important thing whenever we mention a Beluga...

Everybody who dies in the next one dies for real.
