I know many call the Jets SB3 victory the biggest upset in the history of the SB, but I remember no one gave the Raiders a chance in this game (the Redskins by stats were actually better than they were the year before when they won the SB), but to me this was the bigger upset. I still can’t figure out what Joe Gibbs…
“My life sucks,” said Plunkett, 69. “It’s no fun being in this body right now. Everything hurts.”
I’d put Chivas and Club America above getting hit by a bus.
Plunkett’s real beatings came when he was with the Patriots in the early 70s. They finally traded him, and he was so wrecked that he basically sat out 2 years before he had his 2nd career with Oakland.
Plus he began his career with 5 years in New England, where he took 146 sacks in only 61 games. Old Schaefer/Foxboro Stadium had terrible turf too.
“Your headaches are probably coming from the subliminal messages the CIA is sending through the TV. You should go live at the bus stop.”
My favorite thing about the Chargers is their constant ability to do just enough to provide a bit of hope then shoot themselves in the dick when things start to go well. I predicted the loss to the Browns a month out. It’s in my comment history somewhere but I take no pride in it; that’s like predicting the sun will…
Red Bulls, NYCFC, Orlando, DC are all at least partly foreign-owned, off the top of my head.
I personally have been to an awful lot of “sold-out” Red Bulls games where most of the fans came disguised as empty seats. And a big reason I went to so many is that my son’s AYSO league offered $20 tickets for like $7.
The Chargers barely ever had home field advantage when they were in San Diego, but those years will pale in comparison to what’s about to happen in LA. No matter who we play, it will be 80% away fans in those stub hub seats. 95% when we play the damned Raiders.
leave my boy Clint Dempsey out of this, buddy
I would rather take a bullet than watch MLS on TV. The problem is that you can just as easily find Premier League and Bundesliga coverage, along with a sprinkling of Liga Primera. If you were to watch any of those leagues side-by-side with MLS, it’d be like comparing Major League baseball to something you’d see at a…
“If I start watching now, I’ll really be invested and know the league by the time they get good. Sure, I’m not having fun now but give it time.”
Late in the fourth quarter of last night’s game (which someone somewhere described as the Arizona Third Stringers vs the Dallas Practice Squad) when Michaels and Collinsworth had airtime to fill, they got to talking about Kaepernick. I was admittedly pretty drunk both with beer and self-loathing that I was watching…
Sorry to hear that, I watched Goodwin play here in Buffalo for a few seasons. He never quite lived up to the expectations, plus he’s made of glass.
He, like most people doesn’t give a fuck about he Jets.
What makes your statement even more stupid is that despite the 49er’s roster being a complete dumpster fire, Kaep actually put up decent numbers and more importantly, didn’t turn the ball over.
Right, can’t shake up the juggernaut that is the Jets or Jags!
