I think that’s the whole idea...really? It’s just borderlands. A lot of games tried to deviate from the core design that made it fun and in the end, it ends up falling flat, just look at what happened to Fallout 4(that’s a personal opinion) but I think this was more for “fans” than anything else. It was not out to

They were been able to “make that decision” by specifically negotiating it into the CBA, which was agreed upon and entered into by the WNT. Saying they weren’t is a flat out nonsense statement.

The $73k salary is not supplementary to the NWSL contracts, nor it is for separate work or on separate incomes. It is strictly WNT pay for WNT work, and the only difference is that the WNT’s CBA locks in a guaranteed salary for anyone who plays a game for them, while the MNT’s pay is strictly match bonus based.

Why? That is money that US Soccer is paying UWSNT members. That should be factored in as part of their total compensation from US Soccer.

Any comment from USWNT on how US Soccer pays the salaries of USWNT members that play in a constantly failing US Women’s Pro League?

As a victim of color blindness, the final boss in Metroid Prime Hunters was one of my proudest achievements as its color-coded weaknesses rotated throughout the battle. I had to wait out the colors I recognized and battle through the hand cramps caused by the fat first model of the DS.

This game was great on release, and just keeps on getting better.

Yes, and a lot of writers and artists who do work for exposure actually do get that exposure. That doesn’t make them any less dumb for allowing themselves to be exploited — and those are people who ARE NOT losing money.

Actually, yes it is. In Payola, the record companies paid to get their artists’ records on the air, guaranteeing exposure; the artists didn’t have to shell out of their own pocket to a shady promoter for a chance to perform.

Feel better about the local scene now, as small as it is, since here the policy is if someone tries to set up pay to play you shun them - even for ‘battle of the band’ type things.

He is, and it sounds like this guy is tarnishing the good name!

Makes me miss the good old days when you’d just invest your illicit proceeds in 10,000 copies of your own mixtape to get a label to think you could move (music) product.

Tarnishing the good Kevorkian name!

This pay to play shit is also diminishing the quality of performers at a show. I went to see Madlib and Freddie Gibbs and these awful children opened up for them. One of the acts train wrecked James Brown (hello! everything is on the 1!), repeatedly, and the other looked like he was 10 and started rapping about the

Get over it. No one cares about your strict definitions. This is the same shit that was said about rock n’ roll and later, rock. “Oh, it’s atonal” “Oh, the lyrics are nonsensical” “Oh, it all sounds the same.” “Oh, it’s all rhythm and no substance.” Blah Blah Blah.

It’s interesting to me that they point out the way punk rock tends to handle this. Hell, the lead singer of Nofx created his own record label because he didn’t want other punk bands getting abused by shitty deals.

Good for you. It’s hilarious that someone whose job title literally means “market/advertise to draw an audience in” thinks that’s not their job.

How many news stories are there about a subject, and it describes the guy as “an aspiring rapper”.  It is much like modeling scams where people pay all kinds of money for various schooling, head shots, etc.

The problem is too many dudes want to be rappers but don’t know how to be rappers, so when someone tells them they can just pay to be a rapper they’re apt to take the bait.

Great story. Thanks for the work.
