After the way the Trump Administration bungled the Holocaust Remembrance Day remarks, I fully expect his Black History Month remarks to focus on how everybody suffered during slavery, and we should also remember the slaveholders, who lost a lot of wealth when their property was emancipated.

Going forward, it matters a whole lot more if the FBI is launching coups than if ex-politician Hillary Clinton’s strategy was sub-optimal.

She’s an intelligent person who has spent the majority of her adult life in public service. In terms of virtue and decency, she wouldn’t have much competition from the vast majority of former presidents, low a bar as that might be.

I voted for Clinton and I am a paragon of virtue and human decency.

I mean, the wealth gap had begun to narrow under Obama, albeit not nearly as quickly as progressives would like, but assuming she more or less stayed the course with Obama’s economic plans and team, I don’t see any reason to believe that things would have cratered economically.

There are still perfectly normal, rational people within the GOP - take Nicole Wallace and Evan McMullin. I disagree with both of them all the time, but I disagree based on different priorities/a different reading of the facts. These people are not that, nor the people choosing to enable them.

Okay. But why are people who are voting for jobs and the economy voting for Trump? The two things holding our economy back are wages and taxes. Raise the minimum wage to stimulate growth and tax top earners to balance our commitments.

Marginalizing people who did not go to college is not going to help the Democratic party, either.
