    The speed limit at that portion of I-5 is 70mph. 80mph is only 10 over. On that stretch, there are bigger fish to fry than a 10-over Jetta.

    Came to post the Chrysler flathead, glad to see it already here. Have one in my '46 Dodge truck, and it just keeps on ticking. With a compression ratio of 5.1:1, it'll run (seriously) on anything from kerosene on up to regular unleaded. And because Chrysler was so awesome, most of them came from the factory with

    They actually made the Protege in AWD trim, too.

    Everything I've read, from lowly Wikipedia articles, to articles by those "in the know" refer to it as a flat V12, or a 180 degree V12. So you're both right.

    Don't worry, most of the time, the cars are inside the car carrier.

    Even if it made it without falling off, it's a total write-off.

    In this case, even those who paid it would have been screwed. With so many other vehicles rolling about the deck, there's no way you'd get an undamaged car to its destination.

    Probably the same system that was designed for efficient tank and troop movement...

    Yeah, not what I'd call "crazy aftermath."

    It's one of the wooden toys in the witch — er, "woodworkers" workshop.

    I agree, there was some poor decision making skills on the mother's part (why were they out and about at 10:30pm? If she could see the cars, why would she not wait and cross afterwards?). But, whatever, she maybe had a great reason, we don't know.

    Very timeless — and you can thank the British for that.

    And an FYI, for those who are desperately in love with this car (like me):

    <cue Indiana Jones>

    I can't not watch it! It's amazing...

    Totally unrelated here, but how I hate Instagram filters.
