Could be something as simple as the house settled and the door kept swinging open letting dust/spiders etc into the storage area (I grew up in an old house).

I started scoping out views a few days ago at the time the eclipse will be happening. In my area (PNW) it starts around 9:20 so I started around 9:10 looking for best places for a view. Found one, checked with eclipse glasses on, rechecked that it would stay visible at 10:20 and 11:20 (eclipse is about 2 hours).

My brother is a tenured professor at Stony Brook :)

My husband and I both attended a big competitive university. Both our kids are going to community college. My oldest has been taking classes on and off for a few years. I’m VERY impressed. The classes and teachers are WAY better than anything my husband or I took my first two years at our big university. It’s a

There is no real shortage of colleges / universities. It seems like that because everyone is panicking jr/sr year about getting in where they want. A lot of people drop out or transfer to another school with better fit after a year. People change majors A LOT. Some people take time off from college and travel or

I am so so sorry :( Dealing with all those issues at once must be devastating.

I forgot about the finale tonight! Thank you!!

I knew someone who was living with her partner 20 years, kids, etc. He had a massive heart attack and died and surprise! Without legal marriage she couldn’t get social security survivor benefits, she was unable to work for various reasons, and she and her youngest (a teen) ended up in a homeless shelter. Marriage

I’ve been married 23 years and my husband and I tell each other when various parts smell gross. It’s not personal, it usually because we want to be physically close and we don’t want the other person repelled. It’s like telling a friend they have food in their teeth or an unzipped fly...it’s a common courtesy, NOT a

Ditto. I took meds that led to dry mouth for a few years. I had to swish with Biotene several times a day or my breath would get gross. It had nothing to do with brushing flossing or tongue plaque.

I’m not sure you can do epoxy finishes can be used for a shower floor, it would probably be too slippery. Apparently there are all sorts of building codes around this stuff. It sure would be cool to put various things in the bottom though embedded in the epoxy!

My kids are 16 and 20yo now, but I *still* have awful flashbacks to that time of constant screaming with no sleep :::shudders:::

I’m wondering what kind of babies everyone else got, mine certainly didn’t sleep 20 hours LOLOLOL

Forgot to mention, you need a mild but moisturizing soap. Only one I can use is Crabtree & Evelyn Jojoba Oil soap (the seashell shaped one). I get that from Amazon too. It’s expensive ($27 for the big bar) but it lasts me over 6 months.

My sliced pebbles came on a net sheet, it was a pretty easy install that way.

I’d upload a pic for you but I can’t figure out how (even with Googling). :(

I have psoriasis, so I’m used to dealing with dry inflamed skin. The only things I can use are Cera-V CREAM (not lotion), and Aquaphor. You can get both in big tubs, may have to order from Amazon though as most stores carry smaller sizes. If you apply the cream after a shower, and put a thin layer of Aquaphor on

Best gift might be an offer to be on call for texting or calls, with a ‘no question is too dumb’ policy. When I went to college I’d never been on a plane, or in a big department store or mall, barely eaten out, etc. I would have loved someone nonjudgmental outside my family to ask dumb questions of.

I just redid my master bath, finished 2 months ago. My contractor / designer said wood grain tile is already on the way out :/ I really love it, but always look toward resale value. So on the walls I had a large porcelain tile that looks like stacked natural stone. Apparently natural stone is harder to clean than
