I’m so excited! Found out there was a charter bus to go to the nearest march... taking my 2 teen boys.

Thank you! I have an invisible disability and it’s hard enough to get out and do things without having to explain to a stranger why I need that spot.
Exactly. My husband and I were 24 when I conceived our kid, who has autism. It’s not just because “old sperm”. WTF Jezzies. Do better.
A lot of animal shelters provide not only low cost veterinary services but many also have a pet food bank similar to a human food bank, for those who need a little help to keep their pets. Might be worth calling around to see if anything like that is available in your area.
I’ve done EMDR (back when it was new, mid 90's, not sure if they do it the same) and it helped more than meds or therapy or time.
I started antidepressants when my son was 9 months old. I was going through every daily activity just fine but was really struggling inside. The meds really changed my life and made me a better parent. Many people don’t need them long term, but I do and am not unhappy with that.
Long Tall Sally might be worth a look for long torso.
My husband bought me a 3 meter charging cord and I almost cried at what a thoughtful fantastic gift it was. Once you reach a certain age the weirdest things become exciting.
Here to say this method works! I have a 16yo son who goes to movies with me ALL THE TIME. It’s so fun! I spent years indoctrinating him with sci fi etc.
A week after starting my first antidepressant almost 20 years ago I realized that most people don’t struggle all the time. They just feel like I did on the med: normal. The meds don’t change me, they just keep me from bottoming out, a supportive floor if you will. I find antidepressants to be a miracle of modern…
The day I got really excited about researching and buying a new vacuum cleaner. I suddenly realized I had turned into An Old.
I’m a longtime PR fan but OMG PR Junior!!! I love everything about it!
I just wanted to share that EMDR helped take my anxiety down 70%. It was new at the time (around 1995) and sounded nuts but it really was a semi-miracle. Best wishes. I really hope you get some relief from it!
Slightly off topic: what age would you say the 13th is appropriate for? I have a sensitive 16yo and was thinking about watching it together this weekend.
My kid is older but is nonbinary and bathrooms are a nightmare of tightrope walking.
That’s horrifying.
I grew up there and went to college in Madison. I don’t know WTF happened there (spoiler alert: Scott Walker and the people who elected him). I was always proud having been from WI, but now I don’t want to admit it (I’m in a west coast state now).
This is such bullshit.
I totally understand! I use Twitter and Tumblr to follow people but never post.... I feel so old.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the suggestions.
