In your experience, are there better ways of enforcing social order in prisons? Even if violence is still at its core, is there any part of the process that could be refined or developed to help both the prisoners and guards maintain the balance in a more effective way?

Hunters in the past used to thank their gods for the kill to show respect. He did the same. There's nothing wrong with that. The species isn't endangered and it wasn't a rare or otherwise taboo specimen. Hunting is a part of our history, and as long as he plans to use the meat, pelt, and so on, let him have his fun.

The short, efficient motions that generate incredible force at the expense of dexterity are typically found in time periods where heavy armor is worn. Renaissance-Era European fencing and beyond is every bit as light and, for lack of a better word, 'flowery', as similar styles from Asia, because when you don't have

Sometimes you gotta take what you can get. In Texas, we're happy if one in three articles about us don't involve a shooting.

I'm not sure about China's laws on the matter, but in cases where this occurs in North America and Europe, the residents must be allowed access to a public road. That doesn't mean the builder has to give you easy or even reasonable access, but they do have to give you access, so they must either leave a driveway or

Your point is valid; the focus of the game was not the cultural clash between Native Americans and colonists, but rather between the Assassins and Templars. However, showing the colonists—specifically, the Founding Fathers—from a distinctly different perspective draws that aspect of the storytelling to the forefront.

Disney realizes that most of these people won't care who makes the games, so long as 'Star Wars' and 'Lucas Arts' are on the box. Unfortunately, they're right, which is why decisions like this are made.

Console-only features in a moddable PC game are almost negligible. Virtually all the content can be modded into the PC version, as well as a ton of stuff that will never make it into the console versions for various reasons.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one! These were the first two RPGs I owned and played through, and they are still near the top of my list of all-time greatest RPGs.

I would pay good money to see a synchronized 200-man lightsaber duel dance.

I don't have experience as a pilot, but I've ridden in a small Cessna on several occasions while a professional pilot did basic maneuvers. After seeing how choppy and unpredictable a modern aircraft can be, even in ideal weather, it terrifies me to see footage of those old planes flexing and buckling in seemingly

There is good change and bad change. If you don't want to end up like Facebook, you learn to differentiate between them and sift through the knee-jerk criticisms for the legitimate concerns.

I haven't heard anyone use wharrgarbl in, literally, years. Thank you for that. However, I'll have to disagree with the notion that this review is balanced. It's a counterpoint to the general consensus, but that doesn't make it balanced. And if Valve has a serious issue with Windows 8, that prompts me to look into it

The fact that God didn't smite Paul Ryan the moment he claimed to be both a devout Christian and a fan of Ayn Rand is proof enough for me that He either doesn't exist or is sleeping on the job.

Never mind, ignore my last reply. My brain's working now and it makes a lot more sense. Thank you for clarifying.

If its mass is 1/3rd of Earth and you're twice as close to its center of gravity, shouldn't you weigh more than 1/3rd of what you weigh on Earth? I'm not doubting your understanding of the subject, I'm just not sure how that formula results in 1/10th of our Earth weight.

Look, I understand that sometimes we have to swallow our pride and settle for more cost-effective projects like giant planet-destroying moon-lasers, but sometimes we have to make tough choices about our budget. And clearly, ignoring the need for anti-log technology was the wrong tough choice.

Or they could have installed that anti-log armor.

This doesn't relate directly to the main article, but I'm confused about his statement that Mars has 1/10th of Earth's mass. How does it have roughly 1/3rd of Earth's gravity, if that's the case? Is gravity based on factors other than mass?

I'd love to see a computer simulation of what the sky looks like from the upper atmosphere of that planet.
