Right?
Right?
Her being a doctor is immaterial to this story. I’m not sure why it was included. No women, regardless of profession, should be treated the way she was.
Aspirational cars for many middle class folk in the 1970s. A friend won a “modest” lottery ($100000 CDN f I remember) and that’s the car that he purchased with the winnings.
The “downsized” B-bodies of the late 1970s are lovely aesthetically. Especially the two doors with the sloping glass roof. I don’t remember that particular configuration lasting very long in production.
Send the letter. And if they don’t respond with an offer of a complimentary meal, or some sort of courtesy, don’t return.
Something something, Lucas Prince of Darkness, something something . . .
Agreed. And the new logo of the claw and the ball is epic.
Wasn’t Poe from Baltimore? And hence the Ravens name?
I’m disappointed at the tone of this piece. Elizabeth R. is gracious and a model of dignity. She is what we need more of from those in the “spotlight”, however that has spotlight has been earned.
I have a great New Coke story. My first (thankfully not last) stepmother was an awful woman. Truly awful to all involved. She ADORED Coca Cola, and had a can every day. When New Coke came out, she was disappointed but she made do.
Such a fantastic show . . .
A V6 should require as many bearings, and a similar “length” of crank(s), though right? Plus double the cams, and double the sprockets and chains or belts to drive them?
Can you explain your thinking about why they would be “much” heavier?
I think you could -- I’ve ridden in the back (I am just under six feet tall) and it isn’t awful. A five year old should be fine -- especially if they are a budding gear head. A little roll on the throttle will make any back seat discomfort a moot point.
That’s for sure — I had a Krypton green Elise. It was gorgeous to look at. And EVERYONE looked at it. I tired of that pretty quickly.
I absolutely adore mine! It is a worthy successor to my E46 M3. It doesn’t feel any “bigger” (though it is). I have the N55, and though I am sure the extra power of the S55 in the Competition is a lovely addition, no one is going to complain about a lack of power.
You make a fair point. I wouldn’t make the same argument as I did as a 14 year old now.
G-bodies littered the 1980s like porn pop up ads litter the Internet. In retrospect I will admit they are a handsome shape. I remember an epic argument with a friend about whether my dad’s Accord was a better car than her mother’s Monte Carlo . . .
Reminds me of Mariner blue on NA Miatas, and Grabber blue on Mustangs. Such a terrific colour.
The plane was chartered at its arrival destination. It had to get there somehow, and so they monetized the “deadhead” flight.
