I think they said before launch that Sagat wouldn’t be in SFV at all.

While I think the process is BS, isn’t that how SF games work? Release a new game, retuning physics, combos, and add a new mechanic or two, then rerelease every year or so with more characters, stapling “Super”, “Ultra”, or “Hyperbolic” onto the title.
Can we get Sagat and Sakura and characters people actually want?
Wait. He’s a guy, yet his name is Abigail. Kinda reminds me of that Johnny Cash song about a boy named Sue.
I reckon they will use the lack of people using it to say “see we told you voice chat isn’t important to gamers”
I have no idea how you managed to write this article with seething with disdain every step of the way.
This is stupid...shows nintendo is still out of touch with current trends.
Dear Nintendo, why are you so afraid of the internet?
Hardly anyone will use this and they will wonder why.
Yes. Yes you are.
...I am deeply saddened by just how right you most likely are.
There will be a plug in Switch version 2 and it will touted as an upgrade.
Alternate opinion: Voice chat on the Switch being obnoxious to use makes it more likely that people won’t use voice chat on the Switch and that will make the world a better place.
Such a stupid solution, by far the dumbest I’ve ever seen.
I heard that it cuts you off if your phone screen goes dark. Going back to Discord, i guess!
Jesus Christ Nintendo, you could conference call over land lines 15 years ago while playing and it would be a more efficient and useful system than this.
As a lifelong Nintendo fan and a big supporter of the Switch, I just gotta say: fuck all that noise. Nope. Never gonna happen. Guess Voice Chat won’t be an option for me then.
No bullshit PR speak Reggie or Nintendo puts out is ever going to convince anyone that this wasnt the most ass backwards way of implementing voice chat ever conceived.
Strangling to death with wires is a feature. They wanted to deliver a better, more robust execution.
Beyond stupid. Just add it to the very long list of idiotic Nintendo ideas.
