I’m stunned by this. My own experience as an enlisted person in the Army was that the military was the most diverse neighborhood in America. My fellow soldiers were literally from all walks of life, all races, all religions, and we all had 1 very important thing in common- we were poor. More than anything we shared

It’s a mischaracterization to paint Amazon as the sole big bad here. The original proposal was so myopic that the mind reels at the thought it was likely to pass in the first place. Amazon is shitty for countless reasons and they (often frustratingly) prefer to do things “their” way, but they alone didn’t create this

Just need a title.

I was able to stop vomiting just long enough to give you a star.

Seriously, can’t you just take a trip over to the Univision floors and just double-check with . . . well, pretty much anyone there?

Too many Wangs in China!

People will show up at the theater and there’s no movie and the only thing to eat is a half bag of stale raisinettes someone found on the floor.

I assume it looks like this...

The bulldog has booked its return flight on Spirit Airlines.

“Work portfolios”

Yeah. Meanwhile I’m doing my own thing as the villain who cut her bangs too short and feels totally stupid.

I would watch this. Shame it’s not real life.

Obviously.

Turf the TERFs. Seriously. Far too many second wavers seem to think equality is obtained by aping the worst characteristics of patriarchal culture. “Be tough.” “Suffer in silence.” “That’s the price you pay.” “I had to do it so you should too.”

Greer can just fuck off. While she was “progressive” decades ago all she is now is another embittered TERF (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist) who’s upset her version of feminism which is pretty much “suffer in silence because that makes you strong like the men”has thankfully fallen out of fashion.

Now playing

Tracy Ullman (in her most recent series) has captured Germaine Greer’ s present relevance (ranting at unwitting, uninterested strangers at a bus stop). After reading the above, this seems more on the nose than when first broadcast last year...

Props to Greer for her excellent early work.
