Nice to see you taking a break from defending scalpers as helpful redistributors so you can eat some CEO boot and try to convince us that this person is spending their time for no gain, which we both know is a lie, even if they’re not getting paid a salary or wage.

Self care is important.

He’s not getting paid?

Maybe he’s not getting a salary or a wage, but he certainly isn’t doing this for free. He’s making bank from this one way, or another.

I would like all these scalpers and their apologists to get a lifelong disease, but not one that is life-threatening, just really uncomfortable.

It would be fitting. We don’t need Pokemon cards or other fun stuff to live, but it just really sucks we can’t just buy fun things without having to fight them for it.

Basically.

Imagine all those moms out there like mine, begging for grandchildren because none of her sons have impregnated a woman yet.

Now imagine if one of us finally does and that woman chooses not to have that baby. IMAGINE!

Agreed. They always stood for forcing you to live by their rules based on religion and nonsense.

I think a lot of people are and have been upset that old farts run practically everything everywhere.

At least she wasn’t too bad for too long. At least Newsom will probably appoint a Democrat to replace here.

Neither are a given in every situation like this.

I agree, this would be cool, but as you’ve said and we both know, retailers don’t give a fuck.

Of course, this art exhibit thing could have done that easily. They’re not Best Buy who doesn’t care who bought up all the PlayStation 5 consoles for 2 years.

Agreed on the “not for resale” thing, too.

All I want is to be

That whole situation sounds shady already.

If your goal in “helping” people stricken by disaster, breaking even or making a profit really isn’t your main concern. This sounds like how I “helped” people find cigarettes by traveling to music festivals in the country where people were zooted out of their mind and selling

Oh, they will, but probably not with the effect you’re hoping for.

I sure don’t buy that.

Providing you can even preorder something before they’re snatched up.

I am thinking something like you can only charge X percent over retail if something is currently still in production, but of course there would be exceptions and other considerations.

It’s just a simple concept, and of course, it will never happen.

People with money don’t really care about the market they’re encouraging, they just want the goods.

You might as well tell people to stop buying homes or renting apartments at inflated prices because it’s fucking up everybody else’s chances of ever getting a decent price on a place to live.

Scalpers ruin everything.

I’m all for laws limiting how much you can resell something for. Not exactly sure how that would work, but I think I should be a combination of time and availability.

Of course, it would make sense to account for collectability too.

Yeah, it would probably tank the secondary market for card

Really?

I think they said it would be 3 already, but a 4th would just be awful.

No, the argument is that it isn’t a cash grab because they’ve put time and resources into into it.

I don’t know if the argument tracks, but I’d argue that after 3 decades, this is the first “remake” we’ve seen of the Final Fantasy title that fans have wanted a remake of for at least 2 of those decades, and it is a

NFT’s were always garbage and nothing more than a new way for people who were already wealthy to make a few bucks off people hoping to also become wealthy.

I know I’m a dummy who doesn’t understand “economics” but I think maybe I understand more than some would like to admit, including the fact the laws of economics are entirely made up and are not immutable laws like gravity.

It reminds me of the old “arcade version” vs the SNES/Genesis ports back in my youth. We knew the games wouldn’t look as good, but sometimes they were just dog crap and not worth buying.

We all know these types of games just don’t run well/look good on Switch, right?
