The internet was definitely a mistake. Totally agree.

Also, the fact that regular-ass people have 4,000 lb cars that drive themselves without anyone inside but are in beta testing is kind of frightening.

I’m sure others have mentioned this, but...

Of course, and there’s a few more than that in the region if you wanna lump Germany into the HRE, but I was trying to keep it fairly specific.

Why would you be the problem if you didn’t want to be a schlub? Should GM vehicles only be driven by schlubs?

My take on it is that any popular car is likely to be driven by some stupid people. Stupid people have stupid problems, and stupid problems force embarrassingly simple solutions. Read a warning label sometime and see if it tells you anything common sense wouldn’t.

Woah, I just remembered a Camaro at the dealership I used to work at. Had the exact same situation and I remember wondering how the hell someone managed to break off the key from their fob. I guess this makes a lot more sense.

VERY GM solution.

I have family in Germany who remember the checkpoints, etc. It’s incredible to see the ingenuity of people but I wish it wasn’t under such terrible circumstances. History should really skip this chapter if it wants to repeat itself.

If you chose a Nissan hands down over anything I don’t think we’re gonna see eye to eye lol. I had an Altima back in the day though, they’re pretty quick.

But yeah, I agree that Mazda isn’t a hidden secret or anything. They make pretty solid competitive cars in each segment they’re in.

I assume this was meant for ArrestMeRed but manual G35s (and probably G37s) seem to have a pretty strong market where I live. I raced one last week lol.

Oh I’m just poking fun, I like GCs a lot.

Apart from where they decided to put the battery, lol.

Not sure about the nerd thing, but then again I’m kind of a nerd so I guess I wouldn’t know. I like the 6, but it’s got a LOT of competition. The midsize family sedan is a really tough segment. The Accord is tough to beat lately.

Maybe so. I’m impressed by the equipment, design, and handling of most of the newer Mazdas I’ve driven, but I don’t have a ton of experience (beyond Miatas) with older Mazdas. It could be that the new ones are too soft, but I still like them compared to their competition in general, and they still stick manuals into

It’s not a horrible business model, as long as they don’t pull a Ford and sell nothing but CX-5s and Miatas.

Having said that, I don’t really care as long as the Miata sticks around, lol.

His other car is German and I think my VW’s issues turned him off the brand forever lol.

I think that says more good things about Honda and Toyota than bad things about Mazda.

I also don’t agree, but without knowing if you’ve actually driven all three vehicles as I have (but can’t prove with pics or whatever) there’s really no point in arguing because either one of us could be pulling this out of our ass.

CP, there’s one of these for sale in /slightly/ worse condition on my local CL for like $6k. This car is not worth $9,000 more than that car. These aren’t collectible yet, and there are plenty in decent condition for under $10k, and probably some decent ones under $5k if you dig a little.

Trust me, I totally get it. I’m not trying to rain on your parade. That just seems to be the standard response from these companies, that there’s not enough of a market to justify development costs.

Meanwhile, Audi is bringing us 600 HP wagons for like, 20 people a year to buy.

I’m looking for sources, not MORE assertions without evidence. I recently bought a Mazda from a dealership and did not have that experience at all.

I mean, my dad recently went through the process of test driving each crossover before settling on the CX5, so I’m not making that claim without at least some anecdotal evidence. My dad is not a brand loyalist, nor a “car guy”, but he greatly preferred the way the CX5 handled over the alternatives.

Also, never

Half of a dozen, at least!
