Yes, because that’s all I said and there was no additional context that would clarify my point. Well read.

Woah, I don’t think I’ve EVER seen one of those. Or at least noticed it, I would have been a baby when these were new. I do occasionally see the 80s Toyotas as longbeds, but never the Nissans.

I just wish they’d bring back the single-cab 2wd Taco. That was a good little truck. Now they’re all Prerunners (higher suspension) and I think the single-cab is gone.

Can’t agree with you there. Maybe it depends on the truck. I learned to drive in a 97 F250 with the 7.3 and a manual, and that was pretty fun. Maybe to me the newer Cummins is so quiet and sedate that you’re left with an underwhelming manual with super long throws that doesn’t like to be rushed and an engine that’s

I’ve driven one or two of these newer Ram HD’s with the manual. It’s alright, not particularly satisfying to drive. They’re also electronically limited in torque delivery. Can’t think of a good reason to buy one, honestly.

Are these people driving $30k cars? Even wealthy people don’t usually get comprehensive on a sub-$10k car. If someone has a $30k car and they can’t afford comprehensive insurance on it, being “incredibly good with money” means sell it.

I sympathize, and I agree with your statement that to some people it’s too much money, but these are people that should be driving cheaper cars. If this person couldn’t afford to insure that car properly, they shouldn’t be driving it. Plain and simple. Just because you have the money to make the loan payment doesn’t

$27,000 is higher than the replacement cost for that car, and she didn’t have comprehensive on it.

While I abhor what happened here, it’s hard to really feel bad for someone who only got liability on a $27k car and doesn’t know what depreciation is. Realistically she could be back in a similar car for about $18-22k.

Sorry for your loss, very well-written article though and you’re definitely going places in journalism. Looking forward to following your progress.

Eh, I challenged him on the LX470 to Land Cruiser ratio in New England (where I lived at the time), saying I saw more of the Lexuses in Newport (again, lived there) than the Toyotas and he was actually pretty rude. Told me I obviously don’t know anything about old money because they would NEVER buy the Lexus. *Shrug*

I feel like you missed what I’m saying. Interesting cars with cheap warranties aren’t really a thing at Carmax compared to 5 years ago.

Enough to make Carmax change its prices! Yay us! I found a BEAUTIFUL 2013 S63 in pearl white with the designo white diamond-stitched interior, but it was at a time where I couldn’t swing the price. Damn shame.

I’m just bummed that they’re not carrying interesting cars with warranties like they used to. They have a few cool cars, just nowhere near how it used to be. I had a plan to buy myself a 5 year old S63 AMG or something and get a 6 year warranty on it for sorta cheap. That was really the only reason I’d ever go there.

It’s making this face as it remembers how much it weighs.

It’s a “possible case”, not “possible sexual abuse”, there’s no arguing it was sexual abuse. I think thecase” is referring to legal action against whoever did it.

Yeah this isn’t a speed per $ thing though. It’s a lot more complicated.

Remember when Hemi Cudas in rare configurations were selling for seven figures? I do.

Well, I mean how are their sales numbers now that the hype has mostly evened out? That’s the real issue. The Type R was always going to sell well for the first few months.

Not sure, I mean the Fiesta ST is compromised in a few notable ways but seems to have worked out nicely.
