Check out Open Air Imports.

Check out P.A.Blanchard and Co. They are experienced in Land Rovers from Series I upwards. After 50+ they have decided to retire in two years time though.

You may be best while the going is good on these. The VW Lupo and it’s sister the Seat Arosa are getting harder to find, though admittedly in the last few months quite a few have appeared out the woodwork. Autotrader U.K. has 24 VW Lupos and 15 Seat Arosas.

I don’t know. I worked in the south of Holland for a while and a guy I worked with, Petrie, could make his Twingo dance in the car park in the morning, doing hand brake turns, driving at speed backwards and flicking it, etc... small car, small engine, but it was a nippy little thing and happy to play.

On the contrary, while RHD cars are only really desired by Ireland, Malta and Cyprus, eastern Europe buys them because they are mostly well maintained (certainly compared to many eastern European cars) and cheaper than cars closer to home in neighbouring countries.

With respect, the inverse is true. There are many exporters geared up in the U.K. solely to export to North America, primarily America as they are prepared to pay what the seller wants.

Ford’s Mondeo 4 door saloon and 5 door liftback looked very similar.

The Ford Mondeo stopped being a ‘household entity’ years ago.

I think it’s very Ford Mondeo.

You’d think these Kei cars, etc... would be more a thing here in the U.K.

Like you mentioned at the top. The SEAT Mii Electric is GBP£19,300 (USD$26,700) but the SEAT Mii Electric and Electric Plus are Euro18,880 (USD$22,542) and Euro19,950 (USD$23,820)*.

Though we can legally buy and import and register LHD cars in the U.K.

You can buy plates off an individual here in the U.K., the only change is as of a few years ago, the vehicle the licence plates came off had to be road worthy, stopping people buying old cars and selling the licence plates to others.

JUST IN: Piers Morgan has just quit Good Morning Britain TV show.

Well he shouldn’t be in distress, he’s been there five years and recently signed on for the next five at the same base.

Why not have the Renault, Nissan Mitsubishi alliance bring over Dacia.

It has rotational symmetry.

No. They just aren’t allowed to run backwards. ;)

Not sure you gets these in the U.S.. I assume they’d be offered by Lays as we have them by Walkers here and that’s Kentucky Fried Chicken and KFC Zinger Burger flavours.

They aren’t Kei cars or Japanese for that matter, but have you looked at these guys. They seem to be importing a lot of RHD cars from the U.K. to the U.S. (they do LHD cars of course from mainland Europe).
