British car buyers are a very stuck bunch (Skoda still has a bad name to many, even though they’ve won so many awards and been VW owned for well over two decades), so Brits aren’t that into U.S. marques as they are seen as tacky, plasticy, poor handling, use lots of fuel, etc... Lancia hasn’t had dealerships in the U.K. for a while so the Lancia Ypsilon newer one was marketed as the Chrysler Ypsilon here in the U.K. they didn’t sell well. And of course, Chrysler is no more here either.
