Yep, Autocross is the answer. That’s what I started with. With a 1992 Nissan Sentra 4 door automatic. I was never competitive of course, but I learned so much and had a ton of fun. That was 19 years ago, and now I have a 2016 Z06. Street racing never appealed to me because I never saw it as competitive racing.

It never really ran right. Stock or tuned, it always had dead spots in the throttle, was never smooth, and always needed some little bit here and there. For the money I quickly realized I preferred function over form and went back to my Japanese bikes. The joy of riding isn’t so joyful when your bike never really runs

I swapped the Cup 2s out less than a month after I bought mine and sold them.

While a small part of me was a little disappointed at the sort of scaled down racing for TV thing, I loved this episode and it was great to see some attention for KotH. Top Gear is killing it with this new season and I’m enjoying it more than The Grand Tour at this point.

The Shard goes on sale just about every month for $4 or less. For reference:

I’ll be that guy. I bought mine with the Z07 package because I was sick of brake dust and I like the way they look. That’s it.

1) This is an awesome article and I commend you for writing it in such detail. 2) My time with my Streetfighter 1098 was enough to convince to never, ever buy another Ducati. I loved the way it looked, I love the way it sounded, and of the 20+ motorcycles I’ve owner it was the biggest pile of shit I’ve ever ridden.

100 Series Land Cruiser. Go anywhere, never be seen.

The fact that this isn’t rated R is a clear sign of how much this movie is going to suck.

I don’t understand why more parents don’t take their kids to the tracks. There are TONS in the US and you’ll both have a lot of fun and they’ll learn early on to look down on people who street race since their peer group will be the real drivers.

Balsa wood floors in C5/6 Corvettes comes to mind. The smugglers bins in the rear corners of 924/944/968s. The sunroof on the 944 as mentioned below.

Range: 100 miles. I want to love these, but the lack of ability to “fill up”, even in Seattle, is really disappointing. I love driving over the mountains and getting away from the traffic here, but I’d never stop worrying about making it back.

I’ve never seen this game on Amazon for more than $35.

I understand completely. Sold my GTR for a new Z06 to go back to a manual. The GTR is faster, but that manual is just more fun.

The 997 you want is the 997.2, especially if you go PDK, just make that real clear. And they are still asking a hefty premium, but it’s worth it. The minor upgrades go a LONG way. And the PDK upgrade is by no means minor. It’s a huge improvement.

The C55 is a completely different beast than the C63. Much better fit and finish and much stronger motor. This what I was referring to when I said AMG was past it’s prime. The C55 is a super solid AMG car. The C63 is a notorious maintenance whore with electrical gremlins left and right.

Yeah, that’s illegal in most areas. Hence the ticket.

Get remote start installed. $300 at any Best Buy and it works great. No keys left in the car and it’s locked up. Problem solved. Can’t afford it? Sit in your car with warm clothes on and tough it out.

Just get a 4-seater Corvette Z06, the CTS-V or an ATS-V if you want a little more mileage.
