How pissed is this guy gonna be when he sees that his car has dropped $55k in value since he drove it off the lot.

Who on earth would be dumb enough to pay $100K for a new Supra when they can get a Porsche 718 Spyder (or a pristine A80 Supra Turbo) for the same money?

“but a dealership representative said over the phone on Monday that the car had already been sold for $100,000"

Listed for $200,000.

So either
A) Dealership is lying and it didn’t sell for six figures.
or

i mean if all you want is a WHEELIN RIG, just go buy an old samurai.

Should be comparing with a 470 :)
I’ve found those that choose a GX or 4Runner or Landcruiser, made the best choice for them, the differences are trivial, preferences usually come down to one or two “needs” and that is awesome. 1 is not better than the others.

If only the GX had the 2 piece rear hatch that the LX has, we would be in business.

Shhh! Next you’re probably going to tell everyone that you can get a LX570 considerably cheaper than it’s platform mate the LC200 Series.

I think your emphasizing the worst thing about owning the GX. The GX is an insanely capable and comfortable vehicle that is way more SUV than what 99.9% people need. The problem is that there is a group of owners who own a very slightly more capable vehicle (Land Cruiser) and won’t let you forget it.

the reason why these are starting to catch on among those in the know, IMO, is that the prices on used 4runners are insane.

I disagree. You still have to go with the LX to get the satin cashmere metallic. Satin Cashmere Metallic was the name of my band until we were sued by Lars Ulrich, I have the C and D letter framed, it’s better than most of the stuff at Planet Hollywood. A Lexus is hardly a Lexus if it’s not in satin cashmere metallic.

Lard is better than Turd, I guess

I would assume it’s got a lot to do with the seating position. A typical sports car, has a very low seating position, while the 2 Series has a more upright seat height/position. Nothing like a crossover, but more than a sports car. The lowness of the sports car would increase the necessary leg room to make it

A tall saloon car.

I feel bad for you. My mother is fantastic at driving a manual transmission performance car. Even at 60 years old, she loves to push a car on a good mountain road.

Nada.

Inline-6, two door, RWD? That's about it.

Won’t be on every corner, light, looks good, no silly passengers, aftermarket should be fun. I love my NA V8, but turbo6's are fun too. As great as the current Mustang is, I still don’t want it whatsoever. GT350 is a maybe.
