I went through the same. Ended up with my 2013 Land Cruiser at $65k. Love it, wouldn’t sell it for $100k or trade for any GX, LX, etc.

That title used to be reserved for the A70 / MKIII gen... now it’s for this car.

Exactly lol

Even more to the point... the fact that a 20 year or actually 30 year old design could easily accomplish that.

Don’t own a red Supra, continue being an uneducated idiot.

Look like an idiot, be my guest.

I guess even the “F&F nerds” are smarter than some people. A lot of it also depends on the lighting and the exact angle from which the photo was taken. Again, all covered over the years.

If you are going to comment on a Supra article but don’t know much about them, then maybe avoid hypothesizing that it was rear-ended and do a little research on the internet of your own?

I was reading those magazines and bought my first TT 6sp Supra in ‘98. Also owned an FD, no comparison. The Supra is better in nearly every way. I’ll give the RX-7 the looks aspect, it is definitely a good looking car.

Guys do some research, this horse has been beaten a thousands times on SF over the past 20 years.

@Kristen Lee “That would probably make this Supra this most expensive Supra ever sold in the used market” — not quite. There has been at least two sold higher. A 97 RSP with 10k miles that sold for $150,000 (confirmed sale) and a ‘98 QS with 8k miles that sold for $140,000+. Possibly other that have traded hands

“especially for a non-JDM version”?? Its $125k BECAUSE its non-JDM. If it was a RHD car, it would be worth $40k tops in today’s market. And I wouldn’t pay more than $25k for it. At least that’s about the maximum it’s worth in parts to me since you can’t get it federally legal for the street and if its rhd.

A good example is 300ZX and NSX which have already become legal - do you see the sale numbers of their LHD counterparts droppping? No. There’s your answer for the Supra.

Obviously I might be a bit biased, but here’s my thoughts in reply to your comment:

As someone who has owned multiple Supra’s, multiple IS300, multiple GS300, more SC’s than I could remember... none can really compare to the Supra. The engine is not everything. How about the bulletproof V160? What other stock manual transmission non-American car can take 1700hp+ though the stock transmission? What

You don’t buy a Supra for its handling. You buy a Supra for its power potential.

Mileage: Exactly - the exact mileage is unknown, so to most would be assumed the worst, 200-300k+. Price should not be taken into consideration here given the overall condition IMO.

Definitely not an argument, just a constructive chat :)

Best of luck with your search.
