If you are going to comment on a Supra article but don’t know much about them, then maybe avoid hypothesizing that it was rear-ended and do a little research on the internet of your own?

When new cars get lame, old cars get pricey.

Bubble’s not going to burst till well after the new Supra. If it’s good, it will reignite the nostalgia, and the desire to own a Supra. If it’s bad, people will flock to the old to escape the new. Bubble’s getting bigger and bigger. My money’s on this one, or a 6-speed like it, being worth $140k by the end of 2020

No Joke.  I bought a 348 for less than half of this Supra’s sales price.

100% sure. The lines across the roof for one, then the targa brackets in the trunk along with the original how to place your targa sticker in the trunk...

Are you sure? It looks a lot like a hard top. Even if it’s the sport top, only 1700 or so sold in the US that year. Extremely rare.

I was reading those magazines and bought my first TT 6sp Supra in ‘98. Also owned an FD, no comparison. The Supra is better in nearly every way. I’ll give the RX-7 the looks aspect, it is definitely a good looking car.
