As an ardent member of the supra community, $125k for a model with an accident is blasphemy, but someone will still buy it simply because the rest with this many miles are modified, salvaged or died a premature death. I’ll bite my lip and accept that this is a “good” deal.

I met a young gentleman a few years back that had just purchased a pristine MKIV from a nice woman in one of the Carolinas. He went all the way down to pick it up and payed the princely sum of $32k for an unmolested totally unmodified car with mileage in the 30-thousand-and-somethings

I have disagree with you. The supra still looks great to this day. The curves and proportions are great. Id take a supra not only for its aesthetics but for its reliability and serviceability. Cant say that for the rx7 or nsx unless you are willing to spend a little extra money

Not really. When I think about prices being currently commanded for the 2000GT, this is almost a bargain.

What if we put a Lexus badge on it? Deal?

Hell yeah. I don’t want to sleep with my sister.

And proud!

Oh no. What am I ever going to do...

Don’t remind me. I had a white Mk IV turbo. Bought it in 1994. Drove it for two years and 30k miles and sold it for the same price I bought it for. I thought I got away with a robbery. Now that car is probably worth 125k. :(

Supras were always grand tourers, not sports cars. A grand tourer is supposed to be larger than a sports car. You want them to be comfortable and stable at speed over a long distance.

F&F ruined the market.

Clean lines and tastefully designed. Hard to believe it’s a Toyota.

Well, I mean, there’s a ‘93 Turbo, Targa for sale in Canada for 79,500 snowpesos. That’s....good... I guess....

But 6 figures for a Supra is far less stupefying than 7 figures for a Cuda.

Then to think, Half were turbo, and only half of turbos were manual. Somewhere around 3k made for the top one that everyone wants.

Not completely True. I know tons of owners (Im in the club) who treat their cars better than their children. Ive seen the most flawlass restored supras in the last 3-4 years ever. More are popping up that are restored and so well maintained. They are truly coming back to classic status instead of tuner car.

The MKIV Supra is the perfect storm of reliability, performance, looks, and rarity. With old “classic” cars, they just aren’t reliable or parts are expensive. There is nothing prohibitive about the actual ownership other than acquiring the vehicle. And people who have them don’t want to sell them - partly because they

Because all the affordable ones look like this now:

Well here’s the problem... it’s still supply and demand. You say 12,000 but that’s 12,000 of all optioned models...

If I recall, all Supra’s were single turbo and 1,000 whp stock.
