Development costs are so low since they share platforms for nearly everything and the dealer network already exists so there’s really no good reason *not* to keep them around.

No GMC Sprint yet?

Integrated Google Maps! Perfect for siting that landmark for Kim Il-Sung... Hey wait.

Ooh, touché.

I’m gonna be that guy: I-280 is up on the Peninsula in the Bay Area, not LA.

Back when I used to live in New Jersey I noticed that New Jersey Transit commuter coaches had a pair of amber signals - presumably normally intended to be turn signal repeaters - mounted toward the bus’s roofline that illuminated whenever the driver let his foot off the accelerator. I haven’t seen those anywhere else

It’s because of these lanes. Without lower speed limits, how would the toll collectors get out to use the bathroom or leave for the day? Where the speed limits are going up on toll lanes, it’s where those lanes don’t have a potential pedestrian crossing conflict.

How the hell has nobody suggested just laying down a layer of toilet paper on the water before going at it? It’s like a magic carpet ride for turds on the way out that leaves the toilet bowl looking completely untainted by one’s movements.

What’s more American than outsourcing?

A rental car, because I moved across the country from my northeastern suburb for a reason.

Yesss, Sunrise Highway. Excellent choice.

So the X000 AMG series is Mercedes' medium-heat version between the X000 and the X00 AMG, right?

On second thought, I'm actually seeing a lot of Elantra between the taillights, activated brake lights, and overall profile.

Profile looks kind of coupe-like to me, the CHMSL is definitely set further in than the two primary brake lamps, like it's at the base of a rear window. I'm thinking either E90 or F32 3-series/4-series BMW coupe, maybe a current-gen Camry.

Traded in my Focus ST on a 500e last month for mostly the same reasons. (Thanks to the Jalopnik community for keeping the resale on that high enough for that to be practical.) So, so much cheaper to drive and it's nearly as much fun. I miss the manual, but I don't miss sitting in stop-and-go with a manual, and the HOV

My mom baked me a huge box of chocolate chip cookies when I moved from New York to California after college. I held out until Ohio and ran out by Nebraska.

Mom cookies: Highly recommended.

I'm a fan of the 12 free days of rental cars I get every year for three years with my Fiat 500e.

Status: You are off a road.

Glad to see they stole the color scheme from the Fiat 500e. White paint, orange trim, blacked-out wheels...

Going for the second-degree troll. Bold play.
